Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump made several statements during his August 12, 2024, interview with Elon Musk before the 2024 presidential elections. However, the former president's statements about Vice President Kamala Harris drew attention from netizens who had tuned into the interview.

While speaking to Musk via the social media platform X, Trump spoke about the portraits of Harris on the cover of TIME Magazine, claiming she was "beautiful." He also went on to compare her looks to those of his wife, Melania.

The 78-year-old businessman-turned-politician said that Harris looked "like the most beautiful actress ever to live," adding that she looked "very much like" Melania.

"It was a drawing. And actually she looked very much like a great first lady: Melania. She didn't look like Camilla. That's right. But of course she's a beautiful woman. So we'll leave it at that," Trump said.

The MAGA leader's comments came before he is set to face Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential elections in November. Harris was endorsed as the Democratic candidate after President Joe Biden stepped down from the election.

During his interview with Musk, Trump spoke in detail about multiple issues, including illegal immigrants, his policy, foreign leaders, and his opponent, Harris. After criticizing the Vice President and her policies, the Republican nominee made the comment about her looks.

People took to X to call out Trump's comment as many criticized him for commenting on her looks.

"We all know that Trump would never confuse one of his wives with a different woman," a user said.
"I knew it. He said she looked younger than she is and called her beautiful twice. The guy can’t help it - he thinks she’s hot and can’t help but to voice it. Sheesh," another user alleged.
"We all knew this was coming and it’s as weird as we all thought it would be," a netizen opined.
"This was the weirdest part of the entire conversation. He's so gross," an X user wrote.

Some users also felt the Republican politician was intimidated, while others continued to joke about his comments.

"This is what he saw: a smart and strong woman. He is intimidated, and all he can see is his own s*xual desire when he looks at women. He’s a pig." a netizen opined.
"Melania Trump looked like a beautiful Black woman?" a netizen wondered.
"He has lost it. He's gone from racist, misogynistic attacks on Harris to now fantasizing that she looks like his wife, Melania," a user commented.

The former President was supposedly referring to TIME's latest cover, which features a black-and-white sketch of Kamala Harris with the caption "Her Moment." The Vice President did not interview with TIME for the cover story.

Donald Trump criticized Kamala Harris in his interview with Elon Musk on X

Although Donald Trump seemed to have complimented Kamala Harris on her looks, he also criticized the Vice President during his conversation with Elon Musk. The former president referred to Harris as the "border tsar" of Biden's presidency, allegedly hinting at her previous role as in charge of border administration.

Trump also referred to Kamala Harris as a "radical Democrat," claiming that she destroyed California when she served as a senator and the state attorney's general. He also opined that if Harris came to power, the United States would see an even further "left administration."

"I think a lot of people thought the Biden administration would be a moderate administration, but it's not. We're just going to see an even further left administration with Kamala. That's my opinion." he said.

The former President believed Harris's policies would guarantee the entry of more illegal immigrants to the United States, and added that she got a "free ride" from the media until now.

The Republican politician trailed Kamala Harris in some crucial states, as per a New York Times survey last week. The former president reportedly trailed the current vice president in states like Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania by four percent.
