Spiderman actor Jamie Foxx recently talked about Diddy at the beginning of his Netflix comedy series What Had Happened Was…, which premiered on Monday, December 9. In response to the widely circulated rumors that Combs was allegedly involved in his hospitalization, he said:
“The internet was saying that Puffy was trying to kill me. I know what you’re thinking… Did he?! That's what the internet was saying. I know what you're thinking, did he? Hell no I left them parties early, out by 9 and they got sucked on the right.”
During the same show, he also discussed his near-death experience after suffering a stroke and brain hemorrhage. The actor struggled to hold back his tears as he talked about the “mystery illness” of April 2023 that left him unable to walk and required emergency brain surgery. He also recalled that his sister, whom he thanked, had been warned by a doctor that they might "lose him."
Jamie Foxx further jokingly compared Diddy with the Devil
In the same Netflix comedy series, Jamie Foxx also made a lighthearted comparison between Diddy and the devil. Talking about the same, he said:
“Your life doesn’t flash before your face. It was kind of oddly peaceful… I saw the tunnel. I didn’t see the light. I was in that tunnel, though. It was hot in that tunnel. Sh*t, am I going to the wrong place in this motherf*cker? Because I looked at the end of the tunnel, and I thought I saw the devil like, ‘Come on’... Or was that Puffy?”
The Spiderman actor then swiftly defused the situation by laughing it off and adding:
“I’m f*cking around. But if that was Puffy, he had a flaming bottle of Johnson and… no, I’m just kidding.”
The viral rumor that Combs reportedly poisoned him had been started by eyewitnesses, who were reportedly present at the October tapings of the comedian’s Netflix special. The crowd also included director and producer Choke No Joke. As per Page Six, Choke claimed that he had attended two of Foxx’s three shows.
During an interview with HYPE+, which was uploaded on YouTube on Tuesday, October 8, talking about Diddy’s alleged involvement, Choke said:
“There’s been a rumor that the whole time Jamie was out for the industry insiders, Diddy had done that to him… They told Jamie to chill, he didn’t chill.. and that’s why Jamie was in the hospital….”
He further claimed that Jamie Foxx's medical emergency in 2023 was allegedly caused by the owner of Bad Boy Records. Claiming the same, he continued:
“They [Diddy and his security] gave him some kind of pill or something that knocked him out, but it all was alleged[ly] connected back to Diddy right because something happened with Diddy and Jamie… Jamie Foxx states.. that Diddy was responsible for what happened to him..”
When asked if Foxx was joking, Choke said that he didn't. He went on to say that the audience will make the final decision about the same when they see the show on Netflix.
On the other hand, on October 29, the former bodyguard at Death Row Records, Reggie Wright Jr., asserted that Jamie Foxx was allegedly going back on his word after reportedly exposing Combs at the early screening of his Netflix special.
Speaking of the same while appearing on Bomb1st’s podcast interview on YouTube, he stated,
“Jamie just realized what he said and wanted to backtrack that… I don't believe Jamie was joking. I think he's trying to walk it back now... Remember, y'all gotta live in this era of everybody scared to be a snitch…”
Reggie’s interview came after Foxx's alleged claims that Combs was "responsible" for his April 2023 illness. As reported by Page Six on October 24, three witnesses, who saw Foxx's Netflix special in October, claimed that the comedian alleged the same.
According to the same Page Six article, during the same comedy special screenings, Foxx also discussed how the rapper reportedly attempted to poison him and how he wound up in the hospital.
These are just allegations, and no proof of Diddy allegedly poisoning Foxx was found.
