Amid the 2024 BET Awards, a drama had unfolded between actress Taraji P Henson and TikTok food critic Keith Lee. Henson recently opened up about it and made a comment, addressing the issue. She wrote,

"Life really is too short for this behavior. He wasn't in his seat. They give celebrity assigned seats! The drama began after Henson confused Lee with TikTok personality Jordan Howlett. Taraji P Henson, as a result, handed out a rose to Jordan which should have been given to Lee. After realizing her mistake, Henson acknowledged it and a rose was handed over to Keith. She apologized and was further heard saying,

"I got caught up in my own inner monologue, I’m so sorry."

Lee, however, dramatically threw the rose on the ground. Further, Lee's wife expressed discomfort claiming that Henson attempted to flirt with her husband.

The 2024 BET Awards, which had numerous attendees, saw a drama beginning between the famous American actress Taraji P Henson and food critic Keith Lee. While Lee threw the rose at the award ceremony itself, he later claimed that he wasn't upset with Henson at all. He even posted the footage of him throwing the rose, and later deleted it as well.

In a video shared on Monday, Lee said that he didn't think Henson had any ill intention behind mixing up the names.

"I am not upset at Taraji P. Henson by any stretch of the imagination. And not only that, in my opinion, she smoked it last night," said the food critic.

He also said that he didn't throw the rose because of anger, but felt that he didn't deserve it.

Lee also justified his wife's reactions when Henson was apparently flirting with Jordan, assuming he was Lee. In the video, he claimed that neither he nor his wife Ronni had any issues with the improv flirting. He further said,

"It was a hard situation for all of us to be in. We fully understand she made it up on the fly."
