British actress Olivia Hussey passed away at 73 on Friday, December 27, 2024. On the same day, a statement was released from Olivia's official Instagram account, confirming the actress' demise. According to the statement, Olivia died peacefully at her home. It further read:

"Olivia was a remarkable person whose warmth, wisdom, and pure kindness touched the lives of all who knew her... Olivia lives a life full of passion, love, and dedication to the arts, spirituality, and kindness towards animals..."

No information about the cause of the demise has been disclosed at the time of writing. Fans have also paid tributes and expressed condolences to the grieving family.

Olivia Hussey, who got married three times in her lifetime, had three children: Alexander, Maximillion, and India. In February 1973, Olivia and her then-husband, Dean Paul Martin, welcomed their only child, Alexander Martin.

Alexander, popularly known for his roles in movies like Josie and the Pussycats and Can't Hardly Wait, later got married to Megan W. Martin. However, according to IMDB, he has been married to Devanshi Patel since December 2022.

In 1983, Hussey gave birth to Maximillion Fuse with her second husband, Akira Fuse. In 1991, Olivia and her third husband, David Glen Eisley, welcomed their youngest child, India Eisley, in California. India Eisley is an actress known for her roles in various films and television series.

One of her most notable performances is in The Secret Life of the American Teenager. Additionally, she has appeared in several movies, including Look Away, Dead Money, Social Suicide, and Kite.

"I grew up with a mini-altar at home that she had; a candle was always alight on it. She always had a great love for God, and she instilled that in me."

The actress had played some minor roles before she was cast for the 1968 hit movie Romeo and Juliet. Olivia Hussey played the role of Juliet in the successful movie. According to an article published by People Magazine on December 27, this was the first movie where the characters were played by actors who were of similar ages.

Opening up about the fame and stardom that Hussey received back then, she spoke to the same publication in 2008 during the promotion of her memoir The Girl on the Balcony. The actress said:

"So much happened so fast. It was overnight superstardom and I wasn't prepared for it."

Over the years, Hussey has appeared in several movies, including Lost Horizon, Black Christmas, Turkey Shoot, and Virus. Her last movie, Social Suicide, was released in 2015. In 2016, she retired from acting.

Olivia Hussey is survived by her three children, husband David Glen Eisley, and grandchild Greyson.
