The 16-year-old Marko Vituk and 21-year-old British influencer Tasha Newcombe had been dating for a few months. However, once the news went public, she received huge backlash for dating a teenager. She recently defended her relationship in public and opened up about the age gap on the TikTok podcast, Pod Got Nibbled.
In the August 14 episode, she shared with the audience some of the negative reactions she's faced since making the relationship public.
Tasha stated:
“I want to be in a relationship with him. I can because it is legal, whether you think it's morally right or wrong, it's legal and although my relationship is very very new, I have to say this boy is genuinely the most mature, kindest, loving person I've ever been in a relationship with.”

Influencer Tasha Newcombe stated that her relationship with a 16-year-old boy is normal and that he behaves older than his age. In a recent appearance on the TikTok podcast Pod Got Nibbled, she expressed her feelings about being in a romantic relationship with him.
She went on to say that it is legal, regardless of one's moral convictions. She added that she had never been in a relationship with someone as loving, caring, or mature as her partner, Marko.
In the same podcast, Tasha Newcombe continued:
“As I said, I completely understand that people are gonna have their opinion on my relationship you're quite rightly in your right to but what you are not in your right to is to direct hate towards me.”
This isn’t the only podcast where she appeared in recent times. She and her partner also came on The Blue Tick Show on Sunday, August 11, where they retaliated to people calling their relationship "wrong." The couple talked about their bond and five-year age difference.
Tasha Newcombe told the podcast host and YouTuber Mikey Melin:
"I am in a relationship with someone who’s five years younger than me and I know a lot of people are gonna have their opinions on that and quite rightly so, you’re allowed to have your opinions, that’s your free will."
She also discussed how age is not important to her, saying:
"I don't obsess over his age like everyone else does. Everyone else is so obsessed with his age, and they're like ... 'You like younger men.' It's like no, I just don't factor in his age."
This prompted her to correct the record, adding that she had met Marko online and had no plans to pursue him. According to Marko, he first came to know about Tasha after she liked a few of his Instagram photos, which led him to message her directly.
Initially, she had no idea how old he was. However, when Tasha found out he was only a teenager, she was hesitant to talk to him. After Marko, who claimed to be persistent, got Tasha to go out with him, they enjoyed dinner and went to the movies.
On the other hand, Tasha recalled the experience of meeting him for the first time in-person:
"I’d told Marko I’d go out for food with him, I didn’t see it as a date or anything. I was also unsure of meeting him because I’ve actually never dated someone younger than me in my life. I didn’t know what kind of challenges that was gonna bring forward for me but regardless, I’m in a relationship with him now."
Tasha Newcombe then firmly concluded:
"It’s my life, I’m going to live my life how I want to live my life. If I decide I want to be in a relationship with him, I can because it is legal. Whether you think it’s morally right or not, it is legal."
The couple’s podcast appearance came after they made their relationship public and received heavy criticism. Sources like the NY Post reported in their August 14 article that their age difference infuriated many netizens who responded to the news, with some even questioning whether this is legal.
A lot of people even attacked Newcombe for having a relationship with a teenager.
After the podcast, neither Tasha nor Marko said anything about that.
