Brandi Glanville revealed what little details she knew about her facial disfigurement. Back on December 8, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum wrote on X that she has been in and out of the hospital for the past one and a half years trying to figure out what happened to her face. She said that doctors suspected that she had a parasite jumping around her face, while others said it was stress-induced edema.
Glanville openly spoke about her facial disfigurement with Evan Real and Danny Murphy, co-hosts of Page Six's Virtual Reality-Tea, published on Thursday, December 19, saying that she still "don't f*cking know" for sure if she has a parasite in her face. She said that her doctors still don't have any idea what caused her face to swell some times and sink in other times, adding:
"I just want an answer so desperately that you could do anything you want to me, and I'd be OK with it."
Giving an update on the current condition of her face, Brandi Glanville said that she had days where her face would look normal. But those days are very short, not even weeks, and the condition "comes and goes." She described the swelling as looking something like it's filled with an "oily fluid," adding that she finds it "disgusting" and "so gross."
The reality TV star added that some days, like over the weekend, she would be looking like she had a "really big meatball" on the right side of her face because of the swelling.
Brandi Glanville says she's re-taking her antibiotics because her face starts to "sink in," making her look like a "crackhead"
Brandi Glanville opened up about everything she's done to help treat her suspected facial parasite. She mentioned taking a break from the antibiotics her doctors previously prescribed her but said that she decided to re-tale them when she saw her face starting to "sink in," something she's not very fond of. She said:
"I prefer [my face] when it's a little swollen, to be honest. When it's only swollen on one side, it's not great. But the sinking in thing is killing me slowly because I just feel like I look like a crackhead."
The RHOBH alum shared the cycles she had to deal with in her condition, saying that she would get days with a swollen face, and then it would start sinking in again. She said that whenever she got the chills, she would know it was an infection. It starts with the ticking in her ear, she said, and then whatever was in her face would start moving around and make her face look like it's sinking in.
Brandi Glanville admitted that her facial disfigurement left her in great distress, both mentally and socially. She said:
"It's hard to hide out during Christmas when everyone's having their parties. It's depressing. It just hurts my brain and my heart."
She also admitted to needing to wear a mask at home around her kids to hide her "scary" face. That said, Page Six reported in the same December 19 article that Brandi Glanville had since worked with plastic surgeon Dr. Nicholas Nikolov to help treat the symptoms of her condition. Her treatment reportedly includes using CellSound to stimulate the cells without further damaging any tissue and treating the damage that infections had caused with a wound-healing device.
