On Wednesday, Call Her Daddy podcast host Alexandra Cooper shared details about her interview with Vice President Kamala Harris. Cooper first revealed that the studio where the interview was held wasn't her actual studio, and was in fact a temporary one set up in Washington, D.C.

According to the Call Her Daddy podcaster, who recently appeared on The New York Times’ DealBook Summit, it was revealed that the setup apparently was in a "random house." She continued by claiming that the team spent more than $100,000 to build the temporary studio. According to her, the decor didn't justify the high expenditure.

"Its appearance did not justify the expenditure," said Cooper."

The podcaster further stated that her studio in Los Angeles didn't cost that much. Alexandra Cooper said:

"My studio, that is gorgeous, in Los Angeles, doesn't even cost six figures. So, I don't know how cardboard walls could cost six figures."

The Call Her Daddy podcaster described the temporary setup to be "gorgeous" but not "that nice," to be that expensive. The talk about this set after Gabe Kaminsky from the Washington Examiner revealed that the Harris Campaign spent about $654 million on advertisements from July 22 to November 5, 2024.

Kaminsky further claimed that six figures were spent to build the set for Kamala's interview with the Call Her Daddy podcaster.

Call Her Daddy host Alexandra Cooper revealed that both Kamala Harris and Trump's teams had reached out to her before the election

On Wednesday, while Alexandra Cooper spoke about the temporary set where she interviewed Kamala Harris, she revealed that Trump's team too contacted her prior the Presidential election. Speaking of choosing to interview Harris, Cooper said:

"I’m a very competitive person. I’m like, how do we keep ramping this up? Joe Rogan has a conversation. He knows his audience. I know my audience, and it’s a bunch of women looking for someone to advocate for them every single day.”

The episode, aired in October, was mainly based on discussing issues surrounding women's rights, including the overturning of Roe v. Wade. She further clarified that while many could think that she only wanted to highlight abortion related elements, in reality, she wanted to discuss women's rights over their bodies.

The podcaster further stated that she was initially skeptical if she wanted to get into the area of politics and interview a political figure. In the end, she decided to talk about women's issues. She then said:

"If Trump was willing to have a meaningful, in-depth conversation about women’s rights in this country, he would be welcome on Call Her Daddy anytime."

Alexandra Cooper is one of the most popular podcasters, and was called "arguably the most successful woman in podcasting" in 2021 by Time magazine. As per a report by The Los Angeles Times, which was published in June 2022, Cooper is the highest earning female podcaster on Spotify.

She had signed a three-year exclusive deal with Spotify, worth $60 million, back in 2021. Cooper recently got married to Hollywood producer Matt Kaplan, in April 2024, in Riviera Maya.
