Selling Sunset season 6 was released by Netflix this Friday, May 19, and fans were expecting anything but the mention of Nick Cannon on the real-estate-based show. The popular rapper and host Nick Cannon did not appear in front of the cameras but was mentioned multiple times by the cast members as he is the father of realtor Bre Tiesi’s son, Legendary Love.
Bre and Nick welcomed their child in July 2022, just six weeks before she joined and appeared on the show's sixth season. Cannon already has 12 children with six different women, and Bre revealed that he did not even pay child support to her, saying that she could maintain her lifestyle on her own.
On the show, Bre referred to Nick as her "baby daddy" and her "best friend." She revealed that she was not single and was in an open relationship with Nick. Though she denied being in a polyamorous relationship, Cannon has welcomed two more kids with other ladies. Bre even confessed that Nick is home with her every morning and every night.
When questioned by the other ladies, Tiesi said that Nick "makes his rounds" with different women, and it "works" for her. Chelsea even called Nick a "master manipulator" for promising women a life he "can’t keep." She slammed Cannon for creating "broken" homes, and this caused a big fight between her and Bre.
Selling Sunset fans were not expecting Nick Cannon to be a part of the show's storyline and laughed as the ladies made fun of him.
Selling Sunset fans call out Bre for calling Nick her man
In the premiere episode, Amanza Smith joked about Nick and asked who doesn’t have kids with Nick. Bre compared him with Santa and mentioned that he could not even recall how many kids he had. Nicole could not understand his "motivation" for having so many children, and Chelsea felt that Bre was being "bamboozled" by Cannon.
When asked about the mothers getting along, Bre simply said:
"That’s a him problem, that’s not my problem."
Fans of Selling Sunset made fun of the storyline since they did not expect Nick Cannon to be a part of the show. Fans also slammed Bre for thinking that Nick is "her man" and reminded her of Cannon's multiple partners.
Bre and Chelsea got into an argument over Nick Cannon
Chelsea revealed that Bre found out about Nick’s child with LaNisha in September through a news alert. She compared the situation to "getting punched in the face" and even said that Bre did not know anything about it, which does not happen in an "open relationship."
Later, Bre slammed Chelsea for sharing her business with everyone and said there was a “difference between lying and omitting.” Chelsea wondered if she would ever be friends with Bre and said:
“No matter how you flip it, switch it, glamorize it, the first thing you think about is not yourself, it’s your kid. Is my kid gonna feel love? Is my kid going to feel like I did him a disservice?”
