As Luigi Mangione was arrested as a suspect in the killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, several “Wanted” posters of healthcare insurance executives emerged on the streets of New York City.

Several posters, displaying pictures of various CEOs and executives of healthcare companies, contained statements from people who have had bitter experiences with the companies.

As soon as the posts with the pictures went viral on social media, multiple netizens began reacting to them. An X user, @ProudSocialist shared a few pictures of the “Wanted” posters, to which another user opined:

“Honestly, I'm ready for a major change. Grandma was 84 so they didn't authorize the simple surgery and she died as a result. Grandma could have lived until 92 with that surgery. This guy makes 10 million a year! It's time for a change.”

Furthermore, others also wrote:

“I hope those posters are put up all over America,” wrote one X user.
“Not surprising, a revolution is the only way to make things right,” added another.
“Where can I find these for local printing,” questioned one more.
“We’re on the precipice of making it clear to the CEO class & both corporate parties that we won’t tolerate a predatory insurance system that profits off killing & bankrupting people. Nationalized healthcare for all is our first demand. After that, we revolutionize more industries,” stated a netizen on the post.
“When peaceful protest no longer works, we must take matters into our hands so someone can hear our grievances,” wrote one more internet user.

For the unversed, Luigi Mangione was arrested on December 9, 2024, and charged with the alleged killing of Brian Thompson which took place on December 4, 2024.

As per the court documents, Mangione has been charged with charged with the murder, and possession of a loaded firearm, possession of a forged instrument and criminal possession of a weapon.

Luigi Mangione’s alleged manifesto explored as he criticised UnitedHealthcare

As Luigi Mangione was arrested, police allegedly found a manifesto in his belongings, where he allegedly wrote about UnitedHealthcare and criticised the company. Posted by the journalist, Ken Klippenstein on his website, the manifesto allegedly read:

“My tech is pretty locked down because I work in engineering so probably not much info there. I do apologize for any strife of traumas but it had to be done. Frankly, these parasites simply had it coming. A reminder: the US has the #1 most expensive healthcare system in the world, yet we rank roughly #42 in life expectancy.”

Calling United HealthCare the “largest company in the US by market cap,” Luigi also questioned the life expectancy of the citizens, which remains stagnant, and stated that the company continues to grow significantly. Luigi Mangione said in the alleged manifesto:

“No, the reality is, these [indecipherable] have simply gotten too powerful, and they continue to abuse our country for immense profit because the American public has allowed them to get away with it. Obviously, the problem is more complex, but I do not have space, and frankly, I do not pretend to be the most qualified person to lay out the full argument.”

Luigi Mangione also talked about “corruption and greed” in his manifesto, and called out the company for “power games at play.”

Furthermore, as the city gets flooded with similar posters, Fortune reported that the authorities are now taking these threats seriously, and have asked the CEOs and board members of similar members to be on high alert.

However, at the moment, the authorities have not commented on the “Wanted” posters.
