Brianna Chickenfry LaPaglia has disclosed new details about her relationship with country singer Zach Bryan, alleging that she received direct messages from multiple women about his infidelity. The revelations came during her appearance on Alix Earle's Hot Mess podcast on December 12, 2024.
During the episode, LaPaglia shared that she had been "checked out" of the relationship before Bryan's public breakup announcement on October 22, 2024. She claimed that the couple had agreed to stay together after a heated discussion the night before he left for Oklahoma, only for him to announce their split on social media the next day.
According to LaPaglia, Bryan's decision to post the breakup was prompted by his alleged activity on the dating app Raya.
"He got caught on Raya, so he had to post an Instagram Story," she alleged.
LaPaglia added that she later received messages from several women claiming to have been involved with Bryan.
"Then I have receipts and receipts of people telling me," she said.
Brianna Chickenfry reflects on "toxic" aspects of her relationship with Zach Bryan
In her conversation with Alix Earle, Brianna Chickenfry revealed that she had documented her experience during the relationship, noting that she "knew people weren't going to believe her" if she didn't have proof. The internet personality explained that she recorded daily videos for six months to capture her thoughts and feelings as a form of self-reflection.
"I have, like, a trail for probably the past, like, six months of just telling myself how I feel in this moment, what he did to me, like, 'This is why I need to leave,'" she said.
Despite recognizing the red flags, LaPaglia admitted it was difficult to walk away due to the "apologies" she would receive the next day.
"When you’re in such a toxic, abusive relationship, you don’t even understand what’s going on. You don’t even know who you are," she explained.
Brianna Chickenfry's reflections on the relationship echoed comments she made during her appearance on the BFFs podcast on November 7, 2024, where she accused Bryan of emotional abuse. She described that period of her life as "the darkest couple of months" and shared how she felt isolated from her career and family.
Brianna Chickenfry revealed that the relationship's intense beginning initially felt exciting, but she later recognized it as a warning sign.
She also highlighted how Bryan's initial admiration for her independence eventually shifted into criticism of her career and personal choices. In the beginning, he was so amazed by how "strong" a woman she was, then slowly, it just started "deteriorating," she recalled. LaPaglia said Bryan's critiques made her second-guess herself, leading to further isolation.
On October 22, 2024, Zach Bryan addressed their split via his Instagram Stories.
"Addressing something: Brianna and me have broken up with each other and I respect and love her with every ounce of my heart."
He noted that he'd had "an incredibly hard year personally" and believed it was best for them to part ways.
"I am not perfect and never will be. I try my best in everything. I failed people that love me and mostly myself," he admitted.
Brianna Chickenfry later stated in a YouTube video that she was blindsided by Bryan’s post, as they had only decided to part ways the day before.
"I’ve been crying for like, five days straight. How can you give every ounce of yourself to someone and then be discarded of in a few days?" " she shared.
Brianna Chickenfry has since resumed her work on the PlanBri Uncut podcast, while Bryan continues his career as a country music star. Neither has publicly confirmed any further interactions with each other since the breakup.
The former couple's relationship, which began in July 2023 after they met at the Academy of Country Music Awards, continues to draw public attention due to LaPaglia’s candid revelations.
