While the Presidential election campaigns of Donald Trump and Kamala Harris are going on in a full-fledged manner, a video has recently gone viral. In the clip, a TikToker could be seen claiming that Harris' team had reached out to her for a paid promotion with an NDA. In the video, she said,
"I received an email for a paid promotion for me to make a video and post it on Tik Tok talking about the Democrats. We’ll send over an NDA for you to sign."
She further urged voters to be careful before they base their votes on what their favorite influencers had been telling them.
The TikToker's claims about Kamala Harris' campaign arrived some time after the Adin Ross live stream on Kick, with Donald Trump. Netizens soon reacted to the viral X video. Here are some of the reactions:
The video of the TikToker was shared by DJ Akademiks on X, formerly known as Twitter. Netizens had addressed him as well, in their reactions. One wrote,
"Tiktokers do anything for clout & AK you’re wrong for supporting Donald Trump! You’re sad."
"'Hip hop' pages pushing right wing talking points. Stop pretending to be unbiased & just come out the closet bruh lol," added a tweet.
"Akademiks really let Grand used his name to spread fake news for trump and his campaign," mentioned a user.
A lot of other netizens claimed that the TikToker was either lying or that she almost became a victim of a scam. One X user tweeted:
"She dodged a scam not the real Harris camp."
"Mfs just lie for no reason 😭😭😭," wrote another one.
"These b*tches are lying.. crazy concept huh?" read one tweet.
Just a few days back, popular Twitch streamer Kai Cenat had also claimed of receiving a similar offer from Kamala Harris' campaign. He had further claimed that he had always denied them since he wasn't interested in politics.
Twitch streamer Kai Cenat allegedly claimed getting approached by Kamala Harris' campaign and then rejecting them
As mentioned, in a live stream footage that went viral on August 6, Kai Cenat could be seen claiming that Kamala Harris' campaign had approached him several times for a paid promotion. He further claimed that he rejected doing the promotions because he had no interest in politics.
In the livestream, Cenat sounded quite frustrated, when he said,
"On top of that, I’ve got the f–king secret service calling me five times, n–a! I don’t know god damn s–t about politics! I don’t know nothing."
While Cenat had not clearly taken Kamala Harris' name, speculations have been going around that he was talking about her. Cenat didn't reveal many details. However, he explained that he initially assumed that it was a girl who wanted a collaboration with him for a video game or some other video.
No confirmation from Harris' end has been received as of now, claiming or denying any such incident.
