Sharing a screenshot of a Daily Mail article with a headline claiming Suri Cruise's millionaire status because her father's trust fund has "kicked in," Holmes wrote over it, saying:

"Completely False Daily mail you can stop making stuff up."

In the caption, she simply wrote, "Enough."

When Katie Holmes' post and clapback against the rumors made rounds on social media, netizens couldn't help but react. A fan on Reddit, @mcfw31, wrote that Holmes is not someone they would "cross," saying:

"Katie Holmes doesn't mess around when it comes to Suri, she escaped Scientology lol, I wouldn't cross her."

Other netizens mentioned that they weren't shocked to see the actress push back and take a stand against rumors about her daughter. They further commended her for doing it.

The article mentioned an unknown source saying that the trust fund was part of Holmes and Cruise's divorce deal. It stated that their daughter would receive part of the fund as soon as she turned 18, which she did on April 18.

Katie Holmes has since debunked the rumor. Moreover, Tom Cruise is still reportedly out of Suri's life. Page Six reported on March 22, 2023, that the movie star still has "no part" in his daughter's life. The outlet noted in the article that the Mission: Impossible star hasn't seen Suri in a long time.

Cruise previously said during a deposition for the $50 million lawsuit against Bauer Media sometime in 2012 that he hadn't seen Suri for months after the divorce. He also said that his ties to Scientology played a pivotal role in why he didn't have contact with his kid.
