“Intrusive thoughts go crazy”- Internet reacts to viral video of passenger accidentally riding the baggage conveyor belt at Russian airport

A woman at a Russian airport was taken away behind the airport check-in after she mistakenly thought a baggage conveyor belt was a passenger walkway. The moment she climbed on it, she fell and rode for ten minutes. The incident's footage has become popular on the internet.

Before the event, the woman at the Russian airport reportedly checked in for a flight operated by S7 Airlines from Vladikavkaz to Domodedovo in Moscow. The elderly woman believed that the luggage conveyor belt was the primary entryway to the plane while the rest of her family waited in the baggage section.

Now, once the footage of the incident was uploaded on X by @anthraxxx781 on January 12, it went viral. Netizens then took to the comment section of the post to react to the incident. They mostly joked with one saying that it was her intrusive thoughts that went crazy.

Other netizens also reacted the same way as they lightheartedly joked about the situation. One asked how could anyone do that accidentally, while another one said that she probably thought of checking in there.

“How do you accidentally do that…” another one said.

“That is not accidental. She literally climbed on it,” another one said, lightheartedly.

On the other hand, not everyone joked about it. Some were genuinely concerned about her well-being as one X user asked if she was ok, while another one spotted that she had a cane, so she might have been visually impaired.

“She has a cane, she could possibly be vision impaired, idk,” one said, trying to justify her actions.

“Is she okay?” one netizen asked in concern.

“The two staff are not looking if what happened in the inter place she is looking at her cp so didn't see the woman omg,” one X user said, trying to understand the situation logically.

The traveler at the Russian airport wound up in the baggage area at the Vladikavkaz airport after mistaking the moving conveyor belt. The visitor, dressed in a long black skirt, a pink hat, and a yellow fur coat, is seen on security camera footage boarding the moving belt at the Russian airport as two check-in staff members converse with another traveler.

This happened after the woman approached the airport baggage handlers in place of suitcases. The front desk workers were taken aback, as they guided the traveler in the correct direction.

Then, the Russian airport passenger is seen pacing up the moving luggage carousel. A few moments later, the woman reaches out and pushes aside the plastic curtain that hides the security screening gadget in the baggage handling system.

She then jumped on the belt at the Russian airport and followed the same. She then collapsed onto her back, staring up at the TV screen that showed her flight information. As the conveyor belt keeps going, her head disappears beneath the curtain and she is drawn into the dark hole beyond the Russian airport check-in.

The three women speaking at the next counter could be seen spinning around and staring in shock as the traveler at the Russian airport fully disappeared.

As per View From The Wing's January 12 report, the witnesses were able to inform the Russian airport staff of the recent events. According to the reports, luggage handlers should have been seeing a suitcase while scanning the pieces of baggage, not a human being. This is when they observed a passenger rolling toward them.

She was later discovered carrying bags and then was rescued by the Russian airport authorities without suffering any severe injuries. Nevertheless, whether she was traveling in business or economy class remained unclear.

Furthermore, neither she nor her family members said anything about the whole incident which happened at the Russian airport. Even her name hasn't been revealed as of yet.
