Taylor Swift is considered to be one of, if not the largest, pop star of the 21st century. Her current Eras tour has a projected revenue of over $5 billion and her fan base, known as Swifties, is comprised of over 518 million people worldwide. Now it seems Taylor Swift has wooed over another fan, this time a coffee company of all things, Dunkin' Donuts LLC.

On September 27, 2023, the coffee company shared an Instagram post with lettered beads, which have been famously used to build friendship bracelets by Swifties:

This cryptic Instagram post created a flurry of excitement and speculation regarding the possible collaboration between Taylor Swift and the coffee company, as exemplified by the tweet below:

Dunkin' Donuts later revealed that they were partnering with Little Words Project, a jewelry company, to release their own bracelets. The announcement was made via Instagram on September 28, 2023:

Little Word Day sells special friendship bracelets in honor of Swift's tour, titled 'In My Era', which combined with the cryptic message, and the subsequent collaboration has led to some speculation regarding Dunkin' Donuts and Swift.

Fans were quick to react to the cryptic post by the company and possible connections to a collaboration with Taylor Swift, taking to social media, particularly on Twitter, to express their feelings on the matter.

Many hoped the speculations were true, while some pointed out that Swift is actually a Starbucks frequenter and thus, any collaboration news was likely to be nothing more than fan hope.

This is not the first time the coffee company has been linked to the singer. The company teamed up with the local station B96 Radio to give tickets away to dedicated Swift fans before the concert at Soldier's Field in Chicago, Illinois on June 2, 2023.

More about Taylor Swift and her career

The singer rose to prominence with her second studio album, Fearless, which was released on November 11, 2008. The multi-diamond certified album was a major chart-topper on Billboard 200, Canadian, and Kiwi album charts.

The singer was further propelled into the spotlight as a cultural icon of the decade after she decided to rerecord her albums in order to gain complete ownership of her own work, following a public dispute with her former label, Big Machine Records, and its owner Scooter Braun.

Failing to buy the masters of her albums back due to the unfavorable terms offered to her and having no legal recourse due to the lack of legal precedent, the singer proceeded to rerecord three of her albums, with a fourth currently on the way.

This effort to rerecord her albums has propelled Taylor Swift as an icon of resistance, with her effort triggering a larger discourse regarding the rights of artists and writers in both the entertainment sector as well as academics and legal scholars.
