A video featuring a man riding a motorcycle in an orange prison suit recently went viral online, claiming it was Sean 'Diddy' Combs. Egiptus Entertainment posted the clip on Instagram on Friday with the caption:
"I thought it wasn't him, but it turned out to be him.."
The video was seemingly captured inside a prison facility, and the man appeared to be relatively bulkier than Sean Combs.
However, the individual in the viral footage is not Diddy. Content creator Mr.Gotdamnit Man originally posted the clip on February 25. He asked his followers at the time if they could pull such a stunt in prison.
Netizens soon flocked to the comments and shared hilarious reactions without confirming its authenticity. Some alluded to Combs' baby oil controversy, while some compared him to a villain in DC's fictional psychiatric hospital, Arkham.
Some joked the former rapper was on a mission to produce carbon monoxide poisoning inside that prison to knock out the inmates.
One person made a Luigi Mangione reference as the UHC shooting suspect is also currently kept at Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center. Mangione is being held in solitary confinement in the Special Housing Unit (SHU).
A few people pointed out that the man in the video was not Combs but Mr.Gotdamnit Man. Regardless, netizens found the video amusing.
Diddy is not riding a motorcycle in jail in the viral video
After Egiptus Entertainment's video about Diddy supposedly riding a motorcycle in jail went viral, OP Mr.Gotdamnit Man reposted his February 25 clip. He played along with the joke and added a subtext that read:
"Meanwhile Diddy in jail living his best life"
It was Mr.Gotdamnit Man himself wandering across a supposedly abandoned prison compound on a bike. Diddy could not be in the video as he was not arrested in February. Egiptus Entertainment likely misquoted their caption to prompt humor online.
On the other hand, the 55-year-old record executive reportedly lost weight during his current prison stay. Law & Crime reporter Elizabeth Millner, who attended Combs' court hearing on December 18, said:
"He appeared just astonishingly thinner, which you can expect inside a federal detention center for a couple of months now."
The reporter added:
"A lot different from the luxury lifestyle that he was living before, but he appeared very noticeably thinner and maybe being locked up in detention is starting to wear on him."
Elizabeth also claimed to have noticed some gray hairs on Combs.
