On November 16, 2023, the reputable English newspaper Deadline wrongly credited Jimin as the cast of Return to Seoul in one of their articles. It resulted in disappointment from fans across social media.

In the article titled Anatomy Of A Fall, Poor Things, Omen & Return To Seoul, Talents Make French César 2024 Revelations List, the media outlet uploaded a picture of BTS Jimin on the cover of the article instead of the actress who starred in the aforementioned movie.

As soon as fans saw the article on the outlet's website, they checked it out, and one fan stated that the outlet should have done basic research before posting anything.

American media outlet Deadline recently shared their article on social media, revealing the list of nominees for France’s César Academy who have left an impression on French cinema. The article included Park Ji-min, the lead actress of Return to Seoul, who has been nominated for France’s César Academy.

Fans soon noticed that the media outlet used a picture of BTS Jimin instead of the actress, Park Ji-min, who played the character of Freddie (a French adoptee of South Korean descent trying to find her biological parents).

Although the article has removed Jimin's picture, it is still visible on the social media platform X due to the application's glitch.

Fans reacted differently to the outlet wrongfully crediting BTS' Jimin, whose legal name is Park Ji-min. Some sarcastically stated they enjoyed the movie Return to Seoul with Jimin's great acting skills.

While others criticized the outlet for not fact-checking and conducting proper research before publishing, some fans pointed out that it was not only disrespectful to the idol but also to the actress, who performed phenomenally in the film.

Confused fans also sought clarification from friends about the authenticity of the news, and they were briefed about the American outlet's mistake. Fans overall reacted both sternly and sarcastically to the blunder and emphasized that such inaccuracies should not happen again.

The singer of Set Me Free Pt.2 has also won the International Hit Award for the title track Like Crazy at the 2023 Brazilian BreakTudo Awards, where fans congratulated him for his latest achievement. The idol is also the most nominated artist at this year's Billboard Music Awards, and fans are eagerly awaiting to see if he will win.

Not only the singer of Like Crazy but also Jungkook was rumored to appear in the animated film Trolls Band Together following several X posts where fans uploaded screenshots and videos of IMDb sites featuring him as one of the voice casts for the film.

The claim soon became baseless as fans who watched the movie refuted it, stating that the golden maknae was not in the film.

Fans only wish that such inaccuracies would not be repeated by media outlets.
