Kim Taehyung aka V from BTS hosted (V)ICNIC on October 14, 2023, his first solo fan gathering, at the Peace Amphitheater at Kyunghee University, South Korea. The atmosphere of the event was very different from a typical fan meet owing to the outdoor location and various entertainment segments that the artist had planned and clubbed together so that he could engage with his fans on a one-on-one basis.

This was Taehyung's first solo meet and he surprised the ARMYs by bringing a special guest on the stage. BTS' Jimin, one of his bandmates, made an appearance, and fans erupted with joy. Jimin further mentioned that when V called him and suggested he join the event, he immediately agreed.

During the fan meet, (V)ICNIC on October 14, 2023, Taehyung teased his fans after performing a duet with Jimin on their popular song Friends, by saying that he would work on a "much cooler song" with his team member.

"Me and Jimin are gonna work on a much cooler song to show you," BTS' V said.

BTS Jimin replied by telling him that if he is going to make such statements, he must ensure they become a reality.

"If you say so then you really have to do it. Now he just keeps talking about it. You really have to do it alright?" Jimin replied.

Fans were over the moon on seeing their two favorite idols share the same stage after a long time. This came after many fans speculated a few months ago that the two did not have a good bond anymore since they were never even seen hanging out together. Hence, this interaction cemented the fact that the friendship that the seven members share with one another will stand the test of time.

The ARMYs in attendance witnessed some thrilling performances by Jimin and Taehyung. This was followed by the two BTS members joining in for a dance battle segment—the "Street ARMY Fighter" phase—where a select few fans from the audience were called on stage to have a dance-off with the BTS members.

One fan in particular, who showed up dressed as Bart Simpson from the popular American cartoon series, The Simpsons, was one of the fortunate ones to be called to the stage and take part in the dance battle.

In addition, Taehyung aka V made the crowd sing Happy Birthday for Jimin, who had just turned 28 the day before, on October 13, 2023. The two posed for pictures with the crowd before V bid him farewell.
