In a significant legal development, the attorney for actor and director Justin Baldoni has confirmed that a lawsuit will be filed against actress Blake Lively.

On January 7, 2025, during an appearance on The Megyn Kelly Show, Bryan Freeman, the attorney for Justin Baldoni, suggested that the lawsuit to be filed against Blake Lively would likely include her husband, Ryan Reynolds, as well as Stephanie Jones and Leslie Sloan, among others. Freeman stated:

"There's a number of different defendants here. Stephanie Jones will be all over this complaint — she is the PR agent who was supposed to be working for Justin Baldoni. Leslie Sloan, another PR agent, will be part of this lawsuit. And Blake Lively will be sued, and we are carefully considering other people who will be sued, also Ryan Reynolds for sure."

This statement followed Blake Lively’s lawsuit filed against It Ends With Us director Baldoni for s*xual misconduct on December 31, 2024, in a federal New York court. The complaint was initially lodged in California on December 20, 2024, before it was officially filed at the end of the year.

Justin Baldoni’s lawyer confirms lawsuit against Blake Lively will expand naming husband, Ryan Reynolds, & others

On Tuesday, January 7, 2025, during a conversation on The Megyn Kelly Show, Justin Baldoni's attorney, Bryan Freeman, confirmed that he would expand the lawsuit against Blake Lively to include several individuals.

Freeman also emphasized that the lawsuit would not be a mere legal action but backed by substantial evidence.

"Into oblivion, Megan. Wait till you see this lawsuit. It's all gonna be based on evidence. It's not gonna be just a lawsuit. It's gonna be a kind of lawsuit, that is full of evidence, admissions, documents," Freeman said.

On Monday, January 6, 2025, in a conversation with People, Lively's legal team indicated that her claims of s*xual harassment were "backed by concrete facts."

"Ms. Lively's federal litigation before the Southern District of New York involves serious claims of s*xual harassment and retaliation, backed by concrete facts.

These statements arise from the lawsuit filed by Blake Lively in late December 2024. In a statement to The New York Times, Lively accused Baldoni of exhibiting disturbing and unprofessional behavior on set, creating a hostile work environment.

Lively expressed hope that the legal action would expose the harmful tactics used to silence people who speak up about misconduct.

"I hope that my legal action helps pull back the curtain on these sinister retaliatory tactics to harm people who speak up about misconduct and helps protect others who may be targeted,” Lively said in a statement to The New York Times.

While Justin Baldoni has not directly responded to Lively's lawsuit, he filed a $250 million lawsuit against The New York Times on December 31, 2024, alleging false light invasion of privacy and breach of an implied-in-fact contract. The outlet responded, stating that their reporting had been meticulous and responsible.

As this is a developing story, further details regarding the timing of Baldoni's lawsuit filing are still unknown.
