Authorities arrested Luigi Mangione on Monday, as a suspect in the fatal shooting that killed UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. As per reports by Times Now News, Mangione graduated as a valedictorian of the 2016 batch of Gilman School. He later went to the University of Pennsylvania.
After the arrest, two girls shared a clip on TikTok where they could be seen heading to the renowned Gilman School and then discovering Luigi's name engraved on the wall in gold letters. The girls, as reported by The Mail, captured glimpses from Luigi Mangione's yearbook.
In the profile, the suspected shooter reportedly described his experience at the school as "illuminating." Luigi, who has been attending the school since sixth standard further wrote that he was often referred to by numerous nicknames like 'Pepperoni,' 'SqueeJ,' and 'GI'. He further stated that his classmates often considered as being the "best at pick-up lines."
Luigi further recalled memories from his school including starting a Chick-fil-A fundraiser with his classmates back then. Elsewhere in the profile, he expressed gratitude to his parents for sending him to the prominent school. He also acknowledged the faculty and teachers of the school.
Apart from his fancy career background, it has also been discovered that Luigi belonged to a well-known and prominent family in Maryland.

The yearbook which was presented to the viewers by the two girls in the TikTok video captured Luigi Mangione praising his school and also thanking his parents as well as teachers there. He shared a message seemingly directed to his friends and family, where he wrote:
"As we embrace the new, however, we won't forget the old: friendships, values and memories from Gilman will always stay with us."
He further wrote:
"Mom and Dad. Thanks for dealing with me these past 18 years. I cannot thank you enough for supporting me along the way. I’ll admit, no matter how much I hated it at the time, your sending me to Gilman was the best thing that’s ever happened to me. Love you."
Luigi Mangione also appreciated his school citing their apparent expertise in "inventive [and] pioneering mentality."
After school, Mangione attended the University of Pennsylvania to study computer science and engineering. As per reports by The Mail, Luigi then began working at a California-based company named TrueCar, where he worked for four years. According to law enforcement officials, Luigi had lived in Honolulu as well.
As for the victim Brian Thompson, he was in the city for an annual investor meeting for UnitedHealthcare. Surveillance footage captured Luigi Mangione allegedly shooting Brian at point-blank range.
The New York Post reported that the suspect was unhappy with the way the medical insurance industry had dealt with one of his sick relatives. No further details about the sick relative have been revealed at the time of this article's publishing.
NYPD Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch confirmed and expressed gratitude to the public for their help in tracking down Luigi.
