American singer Mandy Moore has had enough of netizens criticizing her for sharing her in-laws' GoFundMe page after their house was destroyed by the ongoing wildfires in Southern California. On January 9, Moore announced on her Instagram that her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Kit and Griff Goldsmith, lost their home in the Eaton Fire.

Additionally, the singer shared the link to their GoFundMe page to her rebuild their home and encouraged netizens to "support" her in-laws. She emphasized that they needed it "now more than ever" because their first baby is on the way. Mandy Moore noted that Griff also lost his drum set, which he used to make a living. However, the actress' Instagram post in support of her in-laws was met with negative comments from netizens.

Some argued that she shouldn't be asking for donations for her family and should instead use her own money to help them. Fans called her "obnoxious" and pointed out that as a "multi-millionaire," she could find a way to help her family in rebuilding their home. In response to the backlash, Mandy updated the caption of her Instagram post late on Thursday. The added caption read:

"****And people questioning whether we're helping out our own family or attributing some arbitrary amount of money google says someone has is NOT helpful or empathetic. Of course we are."

Mandy Moore explained that their friend Matt created the GoFundMe page and that she shared the link because people had been asking how they could help her in-laws.

Mandy Moore, who lost her home to the Southern California wildfires, asks netizens to "kindly F OFF" after her in-law's GoFundMe backlash

In her updated Instagram post sharing her in-law's GoFundMe page, Mandy Moore revealed that she also lost a lot in the ongoing Southern California wildfires. She addressed the netizens who had been criticizing her for sharing the donation link, saying:

"We just lost most of our life in a fire too. Kindly F OFF. no one is forcing you to do anything."

Speaking of losing their home in the fire, Moore is among the celebrities affected by the wildfires. Her home in Altadena was slightly damaged by the Eaton Fire, which she shared a glimpse of on Thursday, January 9. In a slideshow of images showing the damaged homes in her neighborhood, Moore said in the caption:

"Miraculously, the main part of our house is still standing. For now. It's not livable but mostly intact. We lost Taylor and Griffin's studio with every instrument and piece of equipment they've ever owned. We lost our garage and back how. Everyone we know lost everything."

She also noted that every house on their street was ravaged by the wildfire and is now gone, including the houses of their best friends and her brother and sister-in-law, who were about to welcome their first baby in six weeks. Despite her home being only slightly damaged, Mandy Moore said that she was "feeling weird survivor's guilt."

In her caption, she promised to help rebuild and support the community and neighborhood that they love. Moore also thanked people for checking in on them and offering their support and help.
