McDonald's Japan is introducing three Evangelion burgers, each inspired by a key character or unit from the anime. Two of these are brand-new flavors, while one is a returning favorite:

  • Zakukiri Potato & Nikuatsu Beef Burger: Representing Rei Ayanami's Evangelion Unit-00; this new burger features a thick beef patty paired with a crispy potato patty. Rich garlic mayonnaise adds depth to the flavor, making it a hearty and satisfying option.
  • Mexican Cheese Chicken Burger: Inspired by Asuka Shikinami Langley's Evangelion Unit-02; this spicy new burger combines a chicken patty with a tangy taco meat filling. The bold flavors and fiery kick are perfect for those who enjoy a little heat in their meal.
  • Cheese Double Teriyaki Burger: Representing Shinji Ikari's Evangelion Unit-01; this fan-favorite returns with its classic combination of two teriyaki-glazed pork patties, melted cheese, lettuce, and a special sauce.

Special buns and packaging

Each Evangelion burger is served on unique buns designed to resemble the series' AT Fields, a nod to the franchise's signature concept. Additionally, the burgers come in exclusive packaging featuring Evangelion-themed artwork, adding a collectible appeal for fans of the anime.
