A Trump rally held in Nassau County, New York, has sparked widespread debate across social media after a viral photo showed a notably smaller crowd than the 60,000 tickets reportedly requested by attendees.
On September 18, 2024, a user @ArtCandee shared a screenshot of a news channel claiming that more than 60,000 tickets were requested for the former President's rally. However, the user captioned the post suggesting that amount of people shown from the aerial view of the location is not 60,000 by any means.
Social media was abuzz with memes as users on X debated whether the low turnout was a result of overestimated interest or other logistical challenges —
"More like 600 tops," one wrote.
"60k in MAGA is 600 🤣," another wrote on X.
Many users on X humorously suggested that they had requested tickets but did not attend the rally. However, others pointed out that the number of requested tickets does not necessarily reflect actual attendance —
"I reserved tickets last week….my seats will be empty🤣🤣🤣🤣," one wrote.
"We requested four. News flash. We’re still home! 🤣," another wrote.
"Requested tickets don’t equate to people," netizen on X.
"Looks like roughly the population size of a sixth grade lunch recess," another on X.
"That's a chump sized crowd for LI. Sad," one more on X.
Some users on X alleged that the low turnout was part of a conspiracy by the opposing Liberal party, claiming that they had purchased tickets but did not attend. Others presented evidence regarding the venue's seating capacity, suggesting it was 16,000 rather than the reported 60,000.
"I imagine a lot of liberals are requesting tickets with the intention of never showing up," one wrote.
"There’s been a large contingent of non-Trumpers requesting tickets and not showing up. Ahem," another user wrote on X.
"Info on seating:" third wrote.
"60k reserved a ticket but they said the venue holds 16k. Its not 16k either lol," netizen on X.
According to ABC 7 News, over 60,000 people requested tickets for a Trump rally at Nassau County, New York, but the venue could only hold 16,000. As a result, many supporters had to watch the former President's speech on large screens outside. This rally, the first after two alleged assassination attempts, drew thousands of attendees, though the exact number remains unclear, and neither Trump nor his party has addressed it.

On Wednesday night, Trump addressed the audience and reflected on two suspected assassination attempts against him — one in July 2024 and another in September 2024. He told the crowd that he believed God had spared his life.
"God has now spared my life. It must have been God, not once, but twice," former President said.
The former President hit the stage at 7 pm and addressed the audience, expressed a strong dissatisfaction with the current state of affairs, and suggested that he believes the country's fundamental values or way of life are being harmed.
"We're just destroying the fabric of life in our country. And we're not going to take it any longer. And you got to get rid of these people. Give me a shot," Donald said.
Furthermore, at the rally, former President Donald Trump criticized Democratic leadership, attributing the increasing number of homeless individuals in the U.S. to their policies. He described the conditions of homeless encampments as "horrible, disgusting, dangerous, and filthy." He also promised to conduct the largest "deportation operation" if he gets elected in the elections in November 2024.
In addition, Trump emphasized a perception of economic decline and increased strain on state resources due to "hundreds of thousands of illegal migrants" in the United States.
"Look at what's happening. Businesses that are fleeing, money draining out of your state, and hundreds of thousands of illegal migrants sucking your public resources dry," Trump said.
Donald Trump addressed numerous issues, including crime, inflation, Democrat policies, street safety, and more. The presidential election in the United States will held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.
