Actress and comedian Nikki Glaser has reportedly removed a joke on murder suspect Luigi Mangione from her monologue while hosting the 2025 Golden Globes on January 5. Mangione, who was arrested on December 9 on gun-related charges, is the prime suspect in the shooting of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.

Golden Globes 2025 hostess Nikki Glaser's monologue reportedly contained a joke on Mangione while announcing Glen Powell as a nominee for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture — Musical or Comedy. As per a report from @PopBase on X, it was supposed to say:

“Glen Powell is nominated tonight for Hit Man. Who would have thought that by the end of the year, you’d only be the second hottest hit man in America.”

However, the quip was cut from her final draft. Several users on X have reacted to Nikki Glaser's joke on Luigi Mangione. One user compared it with her joke about Sean "Diddy" Combs from the same night.

"Much better than her Diddy joke, should’ve kept this one instead," the netizen commented.

"She should’ve kept this and took out the Diddy joke," agreed another.

"That's a clever quip! It's a shame it didn't make the cut, would've been a hit for sure," wrote another user on X.

One user found the joke "insensitive," adding:

Details about Mangione suggested that he belongs to a prominent family in Maryland and has engineering degrees from the University of Pennsylvania.

Nikki Glaser cracked several jokes on rapper Sean "Diddy" Combs during her inaugural monologue at the Golden Globes 2025 at the Beverly Hills in Los Angeles. On September 16, 2025, the Bad Boy Records founder was arrested and charged with alleged s*x trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution.

Diddy was also accused of organizing alleged "freak-offs," which were reportedly s*xually surcharged drug-fuelled parties where male prostitutes and underage girls would get involved.

During her monologue at the Golden Globes 2025, Nikki Glaser cracked a joke on the rapper and said:

“‘Challengers’ girl? Oh my God! It was so good! I mean that movie was more s*xually charged than Diddy’s credit card. I mean seriously.

“Oh, no, no. I am upset too. The afterparty isn’t gonna be as good this year! But we have to move on. ‘Stanley Tucci freak-off’ doesn’t have the same ring to it. But no baby oil this year. Lots of olive oil, okay?”

The "baby oil" reference comes from the claim that nearly a thousand bottles of the substance were found in Diddy's Los Angeles and Miami homes during a March 2024 Homeland Security Investigations raid.

Nikki Glaser also included actor Stanley Tucci in a joke comparing baby oil with olive oil. The joke was a reference to Tucci's Italian food reality show, Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy. Although the 64-year-old was seen laughing at the quip, his initial reaction suggested that he was uncomfortable.

Nikki Glaser wrapped up the Diddy jokes with a reminder, saying:

"I predict, five years from now when you're watching old clips of (this) show on YouTube, you'll see someone in one of the crowd shots, and you'll go, 'Oh my god, that was before they caught that guy.' We could be making history tonight, and, like, we don't even know with who."
