50 Cent recently shared in a now-deleted Instagram post that he is planning to bring a documentary based on Luigi Mangione. Mangione was reportedly involved in UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson's murder which happened on December 4, 2024. The former was taken into custody around five days after the incident and has been charged with murder, as per People magazine.
The Instagram post included a photo, featuring a few words from Luigi Mangione's alleged manifesto and it reads:
"To the Feds, I'll keep this short, because I do respect what you do for our country. To save you a lengthy investigation, I state plainly that I wasn't working with anyone. This was fairly trivial: some elementary social engineering, basic CAD, and a lot of patience. The spiral notebook, if present, has some straggling notes and To Do lists that illuminate the gist of it."
In the caption, 50 Cent referred to Mangione by saying that he likes the "killer" and added:
"I'm sort this is going this way it is but I'm doing a documentary on him, he is special! I apologize in advance for anyone who doesn't understand."
Meanwhile, netizens have already started sharing their reactions to the news of the documentary, and users even took to the comments section of 50 Cent's deleted post, with one of them writing:

Luigi Mangione was captured a few days after Brian Thompson's murder
According to NBC News, Brian Thompson was on his way to attend an investor conference of UnitedHealthcare at the New York Hilton hotel when he was shot dead. The suspect allegedly fired multiple times at Thompson and left the spot on a bike. While an investigation was launched, the authorities announced a reward of $10,000 for anyone who would provide details of the suspect.
Luigi Mangione was later taken into custody when he was at McDonald's in Altoona, Pennsylvania. The authorities were able to capture him when a customer became suspicious and immediately got in touch with an employee, who contacted the cops.
The police officers reportedly found a 9mm gun in Luigi's possession along with several fake IDs and a manifesto of three pages, addressing the health insurance industry, as per People magazine.
The outlet also stated that multiple charges were imposed on Luigi Mangione, including murder, second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, second-degree possession of a forged document, and third-degree criminal possession of a firearm.
Mangione was additionally charged with forgery, carrying a firearm without a license, tampering with records or identification, possessing instruments of a crime, and false identification to law enforcement authorities.
A report by The Telegraph on December 10 stated that Luigi was employed at TrueCar as a data engineer in the past and completed his graduation in 2016 from Gilman School in Baltimore. He then enrolled at the University of Pennsylvania, obtaining his bachelor's and master's degrees.
