Former President Donald Trump had recently promoted watches branded with his name, on Thursday, September 26, 2024. This had been one of the many products that were sold by the former President in the past few months this year.

He further shared the link to the vendor website on Truth Social and wrote:

"You’re going to love them. Would make a great Christmas Gift."

Watches of different ranges are present on the vendor's website, with the most expensive kind selling for $100,000. More affordable watches within the range of $499 to $799 are also available on the site, and they were described as "Fight, Fight, Fight." This was seemingly a reference to what the Republican candidate said after getting shot at in the Pennsylvania rally in July.

Meanwhile, netizens flooded social media platforms with their reactions. Here are some popular responses made on X:

Another netizen wrote:

"I'd like to know what country these were manufactured in?🤨🤔"
"The company was registered a little less than two months ago. Totally sounds like a legit company selling $100k watches," commented a user.
"He's such a narcissist," declared another netizen.

A lot of others reacted to this new campaign technique by the ex-president. A user tweeted:

"Selling $100k watches while claiming the economy is in tatters is quintessential MAGA."
"I'm imagining all of his hillbilly supporters going to buy a watch and seeing the 100k price tag," added a tweet.
"If this is not a way of getting around campaign donations limitations," wrote another netizen on X.

Donald Trump had previously sold branded Bibles, sneakers, and coffee table books, before starting the line of watches

While the former President had recently released his latest line of watches, including some extremely expensive ones to those more affordable, this wasn't Trump's first time selling branded items.

He had previously sold Bibles and sneakers. In March, he took to Truth Social and revealed the launch of the "God Bless the USA Bible" for $59.99. The Associated Press reported that the title was apparently inspired from country musician Lee Greenwood’s patriotic ballad.

A few months ago, a company owned by him began selling sneakers with his face on the products, priced at $299. The latest line of watches had grabbed massive attention. The most expensive watch available on the line included 122 diamonds on its bezel and was available in three 18-karat gold styles.

According to the website:

"Trump Watches are not designed, manufactured, distributed or sold by Donald J. Trump... or any of their respective affiliates or principals are not political and have nothing to do with any political campaign."

It further stated that the watches included a replica of the ex-President's famous signature.

NBC News reported that several Democrats had criticized these businesses by Trump. Harris spokesperson Ammar Moussa took to X and wrote:

"Donald Trump is selling $100,000 watches. Not a joke. Trump is more focused on himself than anyone else."

It could be concluded that the watches are one of the many products that the former President had promoted over time, including NFT trading cards.
