On Thursday, November 9, 2023, KST, BTS Jungkook transformed Times Square into a golden era with a spontaneous performance on the TSX Stage in Times Square. The K-pop sensation stunned fans with an unexpected performance on many songs from his first album GOLDEN when he took to the recently established TSX stage.

Fans had a meltdown online as they tweeted "Proud is an understatement."

Various speculation ran its course on November 8, 2023, (ET), that BTS member Jungkook might host a "special event" in New York's Times Square on November 10 (KST), or November 9 (ET). Many fans in New York saw that a section of Times Square had been emptied out after the announcement, and the billboard next to it was playing the GOLDEN singer's Calvin Klein advertisement repeatedly.

This raised rumors that he was going to play live on the TSX stage. On November 10, 2023 (KST), speculations turned into actuality when Jungkook took the stage at Times Square's TSX stage. The day before this one, on November 8 PT, the singer appeared on the Today Show, captivating audiences with a performance at the TODAY Plaza, fistbumping, and mingling with the ARMYs.

Fans were bewildered and exclaimed "LOOK AT THE CROWD" that Jungkook pulled in less than 30 minutes at the Times Square

Fans and locals alike flocked to the BTS maknae's event at the TSX Entertainment Stage at Times Square. Jungkook presented a number of songs from his debut solo album, such as 3D, Yes or No, Please Don't Change, and Standing Next To You. As the star stepped to center stage and dazzled everyone with his powerful stage presence, fans let out loud cheers.

The renowned TSX stage in New York City was built and opened in July 2023, with Post Malone being the first performer to walk the stage. Built atop an 18,000-square-foot billboard, the unusual music venue offers a spectacular background for events held in the Big Apple.

Following a countdown of New Year's Eve atop a large structure, Jungkook appeared on the TSX Stage flanked by dancers. He said, "Let's have fun," as he began to sing the song Standing Next to You, to applause from the audience. Furthermore, over 280,000 people watched from home during the concert by combining BTS's YouTube channel with an Xbox broadcast.

Many remarked on his attire in particular and liked the appearance of the narrow jeans he was wearing. The BTS ARMY went feral as they saw the Standing Next To You singer donning a pair of slim-fit jeans from Calvin Klein with a black shirt, reminding them of the Wings era (2016).

Nevertheless, the BTS ARMYs flooded X and lavished praises at the BTS' maknae for they tweeted "I cried happily seeing Jung Kook here."

Meanwhile, the most recent interview between BTS Jungkook and Zane Lowe for Apple Music 1 was made available on November 9, 2023. The Please Don't Change singer reintroduced himself to Lowe as a confident and dynamic independent artist. He talked about his bandmates, his first solo album GOLDEN, and the impending reunion of BTS in 2025.

The golden maknae of BTS disclosed how he learned more about himself while working on his solo album. Considering all of the feats he has accomplished in building his solo artist repertoire, he persisted in saying that he truly believes he deserves the title "golden." He went on to say that his achievement has increased his self-assurance and allowed him to record his debut solo album.

The Golden Maknae expressed his desire to be with his fellow members when they reunite in 2025 so they can once again stand in front of their devoted ARMY.

Lowe concluded the interview, providing a satisfying conclusion, having successfully upheld his opening line from the video, "ARMY, Your Jungkook". The interview showed the genuine and unvarnished side of the singer, with the primary emphasis being on Jungkook's development as a person and as a solo artist.
