Recently American podcaster and Influencer Bobbi Althoff uploaded a video on TikTok and Instagram on July 4 where she was apparently trying to dance like Chris Brown. However, it left the internet unimpressed.

Influencer Bobbi Althoff, 26, started sharing videos on Instagram in 2021, mostly centered around her experience being pregnant and her kids. However, when she started her podcast, The Really Good Podcast, in 2023, her popularity skyrocketed.

In less than two years, she went from frequently uploading motherhood-related content to interviewing well-known celebrities.

She uploaded a dance clip where she was allegedly trying to impersonate American singer-songwriter and rapper Chris Brown. Once the video went viral on social media platforms such as Instagram, netizens took to the comment section to react to the entire clip.

American podcaster and influencer Bobbi Althoff's rise to popularity has captured viewers' attention. In just two years, she transitioned from a momfluencer to a podcaster, interviewing some of the world's most well-known people. Althoff now has 3.2 million Instagram followers and over 7.4 million TikTok followers.

In her debut video, she danced impromptu and ate a banana peel. She then shifted to content about parenthood and pregnancy, gaining popularity for her honest and relatable parenting style.

She eventually switched to doing interviews with famous people. Rappers Drake and Lil Yachty, entrepreneur Mark Cuban, actor Rick Glassman, and YouTuber Funny Marco are just a few of the people that Althoff has interviewed with so far.

Bobbi Althoff is known for her deadpan humor. She uploads her podcast episodes and dance videos on her YouTube channel. Recently, she faced criticism for a dance video she posted on Instagram on July 4, where she tried to dance like Brown. Once the video went viral, netizens criticized it in the comments.

Some said that she needed to be stopped while others said that they couldn't stand her.

Is Bobbi Althoff an ‘industry plant’?

This isn’t the first time Bobbi Althoff made the news. She has interviewed Jimmy Kimmel, Offset, Drake, and Tyga. On TikTok, clips from her podcast, The Really Good Podcast, have gone viral, and she has quickly accumulated over 6.8 million followers.

However, Business Insider reported that she faced criticism for the way she handles her interviews. She has further been accused of pampering visitors, often Black performers, and snatching away opportunities from other podcast hosts who have been attempting for years to get interviews with these celebrities.

Additionally, netizens even began to speculate that Bobbi might not be a self-made artist but rather an industry plant after her interview with Drake from the fourth edition of her Really Good Podcast went viral.

However, Bobbi later played down the rumors in an August 9 2023 interview with Cosmopolitan, revealing that she had prepared a TikTok video in which she offered $300 to anyone who could get her in touch with a celebrity so that they would attend her podcast program.

As of now, Bobbi hasn’t said anything about people criticizing her recent dance video.
