The couple was later identified as 41-year-old Noah Schaffer who works as an executive strategist for the UX company, Human Factors International (HFI), and his wife Kelly Ann, who is a social worker affiliated with Urban Dove, New York. Kelly Ann has been arrested previously at an ICE Protest rally.
Soon Noah's father Eric Schaffer, informed his staff at HFI via an email that he had placed his son on unpaid leave for four months. Stating that Noah is "not an antisemite nor a supporter of Hamas," the elder Schaffer wrote:
"He now understands that his actions were reprehensible, he is deeply sorry and regretful. HFI’s senior management team and I personally, in no way condone his actions today. We are placing Noah on unpaid leave for the next four months."
Needless to say, internet users were quick to point out that Noah Schaffer was facing the consequences of his actions.

In his email, Eric Schaffer stated that the leave would allow Noah time to "learn more about his Jewish family history, reflect deeply, and make amends." He also expressed his horror at the attack on Israel and hoped for the safe return of hostages.
As the incident gained traction, Both Noah Schaffer and his wife Kelly deleted their social media accounts including LinkedIn.
Kelly's employer, Urban Dove has not released a statement at the time of writing this article.
