An insider claiming to be close to RFK Jr.'s wife, actress Cheryl Hines, spoke to People Magazine and claimed that RFK Jr. is “begging” his wife not to file a divorce. This comes several days after RFK Jr.’s alleged relationship with New York Magazine journalist Olivia Nuzzi started making its way on the internet.

The insider also stated that the alleged affair has been “embarrassing” for Cheryl. The source also claimed that Cheryl is considering legal action.

“She's been very angry about it. She has a great support team to vent to though. Everyone's on her side, of course. She's been talking about filing for divorce, but he's begging her not to file. While the claims made by the supposed insider continue to make headlines, in a report published on October 6, Page Six mentioned that Hines and RFK Jr. were spotted together in Malibu on October 5.

In the pictures surfacing on social media, Cheryl can be seen seated next to RFK as the two took a pit stop at Starbucks. However, another source spoke to People Magazine and reported that while the couple spent time together during the weekend, “things seem pretty tense” between them, as “Cheryl is without her wedding ring.”

Rumors of the alleged affair surfaced last month after the New York Magazine issued a statement about Olivia Nuzzi engaging "in a personal relationship with a former subject relevant to the 2024 campaign." The journalist has been placed on leave as the magazine conducts an independent investigation into the matter.

“Nuzzi acknowledged to the magazine’s editors that she had engaged in a personal relationship with a former subject relevant to the 2024 campaign while she was reporting on the campaign, a violation of the magazine’s standards around conflicts of interest and disclosures.”
