As the flames rage across Los Angeles County, ex-NFL star Rob Gronkowski's girlfriend, Camille Kostek shared her heartbreak over the devastation caused by the ongoing wildfires.
In an Instagram story posted on January 9, she reposted an image from the Los Angeles Times showing a firefighter in a yellow jacket battling the inferno against the backdrop of thick smoke and flames.
Captioning the Instagram story, Camille wrote:
"I've been getting live updates from my friends since last night as they evacuate and keep safe from these disastrous fires. I'm praying for a miraculous rainfall to put these out, or a miracle of some sort to stop these winds and fires already. LA will never be the same. I'm gutted for the families and animals affected."
It is comforting to see A-listers like Rob Gronkowski's girlfriend, Camille Kostek, speaking. The image that Camille shared on her Instagram Story is the same picture that 49ers star Christian McCaffrey shared earlier to pray to stop the wildfires.
Rob Gronkowski cancels episode of Dudes on Dudes in wake of LA County wildfire
Former New England Patriots star Rob Gronkowski, who is also the co-host of the popular series Dudes on Dudes, took to his Instagram Story to reveal the cancellation of the latest episode due to the devastating wildfires ravaging Los Angeles.
With the safety of those affected being the top priority, Gronkowski and his co-host, Julian Edelman expressed concern for the community, stating:
"Due to the ongoing wildfires across Los Angeles, there will not be a new episode of Dudes on Dudes today," the former NFL TE wrote. "Our hearts are with the people of Los Angeles. The safety of our cast and crew is paramount; at this moment we are all sheltered in safe locations."
Along with the cancellation notice, Gronkowski shared a call to action for his followers. He attached a link to contribute to the cause in a follow-up IG Story, alongside a mention of the American Red Cross Disaster Relief.
The toll the 2025 LA County wildfires have taken on the community is scary. Thousands of residents are forced to flee their homes.
Beginning on January 7, it has already burned more than 34,000 acres and by now, at least 10 people are dead. 180,000 people have been evacuated. More than 10,000 structures have been either destroyed or damaged.
The real struggle is to contain the fierce Santa Ana winds amid bone-dry conditions.
