Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris faced off with her Republican opponent, Donald Trump, at the ABC presidential debate on September 10. The video of the 1 hour and 45 minutes deliberation has now gone viral.
From it, many internet sleuths have dug out Kamala Harris’ pictures wearing unique earrings, which are now being claimed as Nova H1 audio earrings. For those unacquainted, it refers to clip-on gold/silver-plated pearl earrings that double as wireless earphones and are created by Nova Products.
In the wake of this speculation, netizens are sharing their views, with many accusing the current Vice President of using her earrings as a special and seamless communications device on the debate stage. X user @perseverare1776 commented on Shadow of Ezra’s post on the same by writing:
“She was fed the questions and they only fact-checked him.”
Many others shared similar opinions on the platform:
“Perhaps for rebuttals, but it seemed pretty clear the questions were picked to play to her, and she gave rehearsed responses knowing the questions ahead of time that would be coming,” a person wrote.
“Notice how when she reacted to something Trump said she would shortly after shift her position to an almost staged look. Or how when she would get flustered, she would suddenly stop before changing subjects. that was her listening to what she would talk about next,” wrote another.
“Those were not her answers they were being fed and she was repeating what she was hearing on her earpieces,” a user wrote.
Others continued to double down on the Nova H1 audio earrings rumor, claiming that Kamala Harris was never as articulate as she was during the ABC debate and had help from outside.
“It makes sense because dude she’s never that prepared and she always tanked but not tonight!” a netizen wrote.
“She was spot on with a litany of zingers throughout the debate. This is very unlike her considering how historically inarticulate she is,” another netizen wrote.
However, some opined that Kamala Harris simply memorized her answers rather than wearing wireless earphones as earrings.
“I think that’s a little far-fetched,” an individual shared.
“I didn't see behavior like that, honestly. It looked to me like she memorized a script. Her answers flowed too well, and she knew where she was going to end when she began. If she were being fed lines, I don't think she'd have that fluidity,” wrote another.
So far, neither Harris nor her campaign has addressed the matter.
In brief, exploring Kamala Harris’ remarks at ABC’s presidential debate
On Tuesday night, Kamala Harris attended the presidential debate organized by ABC alongside Donald Trump, which began with a seemingly awkward handshake followed by an intense verbal match.
She claimed that the former President was “having a very difficult time processing” that 81 million voters (the ones who voted for Joe Biden in 2020) rejected him in the previous election cycle. The current Vice President further accused the billionaire politician of attempting to overturn the 2020 election results.
Kamala reminded Donald that the world leaders were “laughing” at him, with some calling him a “disgrace.” She referred to Trump as “weak” and “wrong” and slammed him for his anti-abortion rights views as well as ethnic bias.
Elsewhere during the debate, Kamala Harris mentioned Trump’s never-ending legal issues and potential criminal convictions while calling him out for ruining the bipartisan immigration bill.
At one point, she even called his campaign rallies “boring” and warned American voters that he had “no plan” for them but was “more interested in defending himself” rather than “looking out” for the people.
