The influencer gracefully thanked God and reminded followers that she deserves the accomplishment, irrespective of the negativity coming her way.

On June 25, Pretty Vee, whose real name is Vena Excell, took to the social networking site to address people getting “mad” at her accomplishments. While addressing the social media post she had uploaded to share the news of her receiving her honorary humanitarian degree, Vee said:

“The last pic got a lot of y’all mad, but let me tell you something. God will choose the foolish things to shame the wise. So when God qualifies you, he qualifies you. He qualifies you for higher… it’s acceleration season. It’s your excel season. So don’t let nobody tell you that you can’t do and you can’t be a part of anything.”

The 32-year-old went on to ask critics to “deal with it.” Pretty Vee then said in the Instagram Live:

“Just because someone does skits and music and this and that, don’t you know God can use those people to make something outta them... So, at the end of the day, I don’t have to prove anything to anybody.”
