President Joe Biden was seemingly getting trolled online after playfully biting at least two babies dressed in Halloween costumes. The POTUS appeared at the White House’s trick-or-treating event on Wednesday, October 30. This comes after presidential candidate Donald Trump went viral for wearing a bright orange safety vest and driving a garbage truck in an attempt to troll Biden and Kamala Harris in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
X user @bennyjohnson was one of the many who took to the social networking site to share content of Joe Biden biting a baby’s leg. The child appeared to be dressed as a chicken.
Another costumed baby also giggled after the 81-year-old commander-in-chief took a faux nibble on their leg.
Joe Biden was also captured exchanging witty banter with the children’s parents.
Multiple X users seemed to find Biden’s actions peculiar and trolled him online. One netizen read:
Others expressed similar sentiments and called the president’s actions “creepy.” Some tweets read:
“That’s the creepiest photo I’ve seen in a while,” an X user said.
“He’s a creepy toucher and a pedo IMO,” another netizen commented.
“He’s such a freak! How many times do we have to say “KEEP YOUR GRUBBY HANDS, TEETH, AND NOSE AWAY FROM CHILDREN,” another internet user said.
This is not the first time Joe Biden has seemingly raised eyebrows for being an affectionate president. Back in 2019, then-vice president Biden went viral after two women came forward to state that his touchy behavior felt inappropriate. Meanwhile, other reactions read:
“This is not normal behavior, this is very pervy pedo behavior,” an X user said.
“This is gross,” another platform user said.
“Yikes, lock him up,” an internet user said.
As Joe Biden made headlines in the past for seemingly making women feel uncomfortable with his actions, he released a video promising to change his behavior and respect others' boundaries. Meanwhile, other reactions read:
“Keep him away from my kids,” an internet user said.
“Can’t wait to hear the defense of this behavior,” a platform user said.
Donald Trump seemingly bites back at Joe Biden for “garbage” comment
Recently, a comedian seemingly called Puerto Rico and their republican citizens an “island of garbage,” subsequently leading to Joe Biden also sharing similar sentiments online by saying:
“The only garbage I see floating out there are his supporters.”
As election day approaches, Donald Trump proceeded to appear in Green Bay, Wisconsin, in an orange safety vest and a garbage truck. The presidential candidate clarified that his outfit was “in honor of Kamala and Joe Biden.” He went on to say that the president must “be ashamed of himself."
In response to the controversy, Biden appeared on a video call with non-profit organization Voto Latino, where he clarified:
“Earlier today I referred to the hateful rhetoric about Puerto Rico spewed by Trump’s supporter at his Madison Square Garden rally as garbage- which is the only word I can think of to describe it. His demonisation of Latinos is unconscionable. That’s all I meant to say. The comments at the rally don’t reflet who we are as a nation."
Biden’s press secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, also clarified that Biden did not “view Trump supporters or anybody who supports Trump as garbage.”
The White House had not responded to the content of Biden faux biting children at the time of writing this article.
