On Thursday, September 12, representatives from Lil Tay’s team took to her X account to claim that she was suffering from a heart tumor and was in the ICU. This comes after she went viral last year when a death hoax regarding her was posted on her official Instagram account.

On September 11, Lil Tay’s X account @LilTaybepoppin claimed they had “devastating news regarding Tay.” In a follow-up tweet, an unidentified member of her team requested followers to “pray” for her as they gathered more information regarding her.

The following day, they shared an image of a hospital floor alongside the tweet, “Tay is currently in the ICU in serious condition.” The health facility in which the internet personality was supposedly admitted was not made public at the time of writing this article.

In the latest tweet regarding Lil Tay’s health condition, her team revealed that the matter was serious.

“This community note is misleading, as something is indeed wrong with Tay. Last time, it was her absentee father who hacked into her accounts and faked her death. However, this time, she is in the ICU. She was diagnosed with a heart tumor. But we will keep you updated as we receive more information. Please continue to pray for Tay,” the social media post read.

Lil Tay’s team posts X-ray video across social media platforms amid heart tumor news

On September 12, Lil Tay’s X account shared an X-ray video with followers, saying,

“Tay has been diagnosed with a life threatening heart tumor. We ask kindly for everyone’s love and prayers.”

The video was posted on Instagram as well.

Internet users have been weary of the news regarding the 17-year-old’s health condition that has been posted on her social media accounts, as she went viral last year for a death hoax. A now-deleted Instagram post dating back to August 9, 2023, read:

“It is with a heavy heart that we share the devastating news of our beloved Claire’s sudden and tragic passing. We have no words to express the unbearable loss and indescribable pain. This outcome was entirely unexpected, and has left us all in shock.”

The Instagram post also falsely stated that her brother passed away as well. The official statement ended with Lil Tay’s team asking for “privacy” as the children’s deaths were under investigation.

However, TMZ reported the next day, i.e., August 10, 2023, that they received an exclusive statement from Lil Tay where she debunked the death hoax. She said that she and her brother were alive, and her legal name was Tay Tian, not Claire Hope.

In September 2023, Tay went on Instagram Live and said that her father, Christopher Hope, was behind the death hoax.

Netizens now wait for more information regarding the heart tumor news.

Lil Tay rose to popularity in 2018 when she was just nine years old after she appeared in a viral video wearing a Gucci belt, driving a Rolls-Royce, and speaking in a Black accent. She appeared to be mimicking fellow internet personalities like Woah Vicky and Bhad Bhabie. She has since released her own song titled Sucker 4 Green.
