Donald Trump and Kamala Harris clashed for their first presidential debate on Tuesday, September 10. In a spectacle followed by the entire nation, the two presidential candidates engaged in heated discussions on issues like the economy, abortion, the Israel-Palestine conflict, and immigrants, among others.

The debate started with an argument on the country's economy. Kamala Harris slammed Trump's economic plan for imposing high tariffs on foreign goods. Harris also asserted that Trump's reign had the second-highest unemployment rate after the Great Depression.

Donald Trump hit back at her, calling out the persistent inflation during Biden's rule. However, he overstated the figures and blamed the immigrant situation for the condition of the middle class in the country.

The conversation shifted to abortion and Kamala Harris provided an impassioned answer describing how women are denied abortion care. The 59-year-old also alleged that Trump would put a country-wide ban on abortion if he won the election.

Talking about the Israel-Hamas conflict, Trump accused Kamala Harris of hating Israel. The 78-year-old also predicted that Israel would cease to exist if Harris was elected as the President. However, Harris defended herself, suggesting an immediate ceasefire and a release of hostages to end the war.

Former President Donald Trump was also asked to take sides between Ukraine and Russia, but he declined to choose one party. Meanwhile, Kamala Harris claimed that Trump would hand Ukraine over to Vladimir Putin if he became the President.

"I think why Donald Trump says this war would be over in 24 hours because he would give it up. If Trump were president, Putin would be sitting in Kyiv right now," commented Harris.

At one point in the debate, Kamala Harris even brought up Trump's election rallies, insinuating that people mostly get bored and leave halfway through. Trump retorted back, claiming:

"My rallies, we have the biggest rallies, the most incredible rallies in the history of politics."

In all, Harris seemed to get under Trump's skin several times, prompting the 78-year-old to go back to his immigration accusations and other unproven claims, claiming that the Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio were "eating the pets" of the residents.

With the United States Presidential election less than two months away, the Trump vs. Harris Presidential race is currently at its peak.
