Comedian Tony Rock, Chris Rock's brother, recently accused his brother of never casting him in any of his films.

In an interview on The Green Room podcast on YouTube, Tony recalled an incident when Chris Rock asked him to join him for a film but never called him back. During the interview, host Aries asked Tony why he was never a part of his brother's films. To which the comedian replied:

"I am going to try to explain to you guys. I am not saying it is going to make sense but my brother (...) he's a businessman when it comes to movies."

Further, Tony revealed one incident that "crushed him" and "fu**ed him up" was when Chris cast him in the film Top 5, but never informed him about the shoot dates. He shared that Chris Rock told him he would be starring in Top 5 and they would shoot in New York.

He also detailed that he then went on a comedy tour but told his team the moment his brother called he would postpone the tour and shoot in New York. However, he never received any calls. The comedian added that he started getting phone calls from other acquaintances from New York who asked why he was "not on set." He found out that the team had started shooting long ago.

"Two months in, I get a fu**ing phone call that says 'Yo, you at the wrap party? We here. That sh*t crushed me. I have never seen the movie Top 5," Rock said.

Fans took to X to react to Tony Rock's statements, with many criticizing Chris Rock while others supported Tony. One user on X wrote:

"That’s why I respect the Wayans family so much. They don’t play when it comes to each other and generated enough wealth for generations beyond their living."

Several netizens expressed their take on Tony Rock's comments.

"Those weren’t his movies. He is an employee on set. He doesn’t make any rules," a user opined.
"Eh….why didn’t he go to set after the first call?," a fan asked.
"I have always like Tony and I believe he is actually funnier than Chris and a better actor…IJS," a person added.

Other fans continued to share their opinions:

"So y’all only got a problem with nepotism when it comes to lebron and his son GOT IT !!!!!!!!!!," a fan jibed.
"You would have thought they were thick as thieves the way Tony was riding for Chris after the slap," a netizen commented.
"You can tell Tony loves his brother. And really just wanted to work with him at some point in their careers," another fan noted.

Chris Rock's brother, Tony Rock, defended him on X after Will Smith infamously slapped Chris on stage during the 2022 Academy Awards. The incident occurred after Chris made a joke about Smith's wife, Jada Pinkett Smith's shaved head, who suffers from alopecia.

After the incident, Tony Rock took to X to express his disapproval of Will Smith's public apology, although the post is currently unavailable. When asked if his brother is doing alright, Tony said:

"All of them are fine."

Tony also said he is "waiting" for Smith to talk to their family personally, quoting a fan's question about the matter. He addressed claims that Smith had resolved the issue with Chris and put their differences aside.

These rumors arose after Sean "Diddy" Combs claimed Will Smith and Chris Rock had reunited after the Oscars. Tony Rock denied this, stating that Diddy lied about it.

In a 2023 appearance on BigBoyTV, Tony Rock reiterated his claims, saying Will Smith never reached out to Chris Rock days after the incident. Smith had said the same in a YouTube video posted in July.

"That wasn't true, that wasn't true. I think like, two nights later, he (Will) said, 'I reached out to Chris, and he didn't want to talk.' That wasn't true," Rock said.

Tony added that he was surprised that Smith had not contacted him either. He said he expected a "phone call," although Smith did not "owe him anything."
