US Senator JD Vance spoke at a Traverse City, Michigan, campaign event on Wednesday, September 25, 2024. In the event, Vance weighed in on the Ukraine war. His was asked what the Trump administration would do to end the war, and his answer stuck with netizens.

The Ohio Senator replied, saying:

"The details of how the Donald Trump administration is going to end the war in Ukraine is by not being weak and not being dumb, which is unfortunately something you can't say for the current administration."

The statement grabbed massive attention from netizens, who flooded social media platforms with their opinions. Here are some popular posts found on X, formerly known as Twitter:

"That sounds more like a concept?"
"Weak and dumb would be handing over Ukraine to Russia which is their plan." A user said.
"Lol has this guy ever answered a question head on?" Questioned a netizen.
"He's Trump's mini me. Trump never answers questions either." Another user wrote, comparing him to Trump.

Most of the netizens ended up disagreeing with and mocking the statements made by the Senator.

"JD Vance is so weak and unstable." One user read.
"OMG Walz is going to destroy him in their debate." Exclaimed another user.
"HE SAID NOTHING. AS USUAL," commented a netizen.

JD Vance further highlighted that Russia didn't invade its neighbors while Donald Trump was the President of United States. He then explained why they had invaded during the administration before and after Trump. He said:

"It's because they don't respect American leadership because our leaders aren't smart."

JD Vance commented that the Ukrainian President should thank American taxpayers for funding their nation's defense system

Among several statements that JD Vance made at yesterday's event, he also referred to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and explained how he should be grateful to the taxpayers in America. He further mentioned:

"I don't appreciate Zelenskyy coming to this country and telling the American taxpayers what to do. He ought to say thank you to the American taxpayers!"

The remarks by the Senator were made while Zelenskyy was getting ready to pitch his "victory plan" to Joe Biden at the White House. Apart from weighing in on the Ukrainian war, the US Senator also spoke about Kamala Harris.

He said Harris was "so afraid of the American media" that she wasn't even doing interviews. However, the Vice President had an interview with MSNBC's Stephanie Ruhle around the same time he was giving his speech.

Vance further called Donald Trump "a person of character," which got mocked online. Chasten Buttigieg, the Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg's spouse, even reacted to it.

Chasten shared a post on X, where he referred to the infamous leaked recording of Trump before the 2016 elections, where he boasted about grabbing women. The tweet later led to a debate where many agreed, while several MAGA supporters bashed him.

The upcoming Presidential Elections are set to take place on November 5, 2024, and the candidates are seemingly campaigning as effectively as they can.
