Kamala Harris' stepdaughter Ella Emhoff took to Instagram, on December 20, and shared some photos wearing shades from Prada. The photos, however, currently gone viral after TV show host Trish Regan posted a video on TikTok, mentioning the same. In the TikTok clip, Regan asked:

"So Ella Emhoff, the stepdaughter of Kamala Harris, has just released some new modelling photos for Prada. I'm just going to say it. What kind of influence exactly was Prada trying to buy hiring her?"

Since then, several netizens took to X, formerly known as Twitter, and shared their opinions about choosing Ella as the model for Prada. Here are some popular responses found on the platform. A user (@Truth_Volcano) tweeted:

While several netizens criticized the luxurious brand, many commented saying that nepotism might have played a role in Prada choosing Ella Emhoff. A user wrote:

For the ad photoshoot, Ella wore a light blue colored cable-knit cashmere sweater with black shorts and sheer tights. She finished the look with black socks and black pointed-toe pumps. The series of photos included some particularly highlighting Ella's Prada shades and her short curly hair.

In the Instagram caption for the ad post, she wrote:

"My sensitive green eyes have never felt so protected on these sunny winter days. No more wind induced tears for me!"

A significant milestone in Ella Emhoff's modeling career was in 2021 when she signed with IMG Models

Kamala Harris' stepdaughter Ella is well known for designing coats, hats, and jackets and then selling them on her social media platforms including Instagram, as per reports by Reality Tea. In 2021, Ella Emhoff landed a contract with IMG Models.

As per an article by The New York Times published in January 2021, Ivan Bart, the president of IMG Models, spoke about Ella and said:

"It’s not really about shape, size or gender any more. Ella communicates this moment in time. There’s a cheekiness and a joy she exudes."

At the time of signing with IMG Models, Ella Emhoff said:

"I was pretty surprised when everything with IMG was happening because when I was younger, I never saw that as being part of my timeline."

It had been further reported that Ella was already modeling with a smaller agent, but signing with IMG Models gave her a major boost. Ella has also studied design in college. She went to the Parsons School of Design in New York City where she majored in fine arts.
