Tim Walz’s brother, Jeff Walz, allegedly took to social media recently to diss the former. As the former becomes the Democratic Vice President nominee, supporting Kamala Harris, Jeff seemingly expressed concern over his brother’s ideologies. He is the first Walz sibling to publicly refuse supporting the Minnesota Governor, according to reports.
On August 31, 2024, the co-owner of Trending Politics and social media personality, Collin Rugg took to X to reveal that Jeff Walz reportedly did not have anything pleasant to say about Tim Walz. Rugg revealed that journalist Laura Loomer discovered Jeff’s alleged Facebook profile, where he stated that he had not spoken to Tim in eight years. Jeff also said:
“I’m 100% opposed to all his ideology. My family wasn’t given any notice that he was selected and denied security the days after.”
Speaking about possibly publicly supporting Republican nominee and former president Donald Trump, Jeff said:
“I’ve thought hard about doing something like that! I’m torn between that and just keeping my family out of it. The stories I could tell. Not the type of character you want making decisions about your future.”
Rugg’s tweet about Jeff was quick to go viral and amass over two million views.
For those uninitiated, Tim Walz has two other siblings, including Sandy and Craig.
More about Tim Walz’s siblings as Jeff seemingly puts the former on blast
Tim Walz has three siblings, including Jeff Walz, Sandy Dietrich, and Craig Walz. The four were born to James F. Walz and Darlene Rose Reiman. James, the son of a butcher, served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and worked as a public-school administrator. He passed away when Tim was just 19 years old. Tim’s mother, Darlene, currently stays in Butte, Nebraska.
Siblings Jeff and Sandy graduated from Chadron State College, just like Tim. Jeff now lives in Florida along with his wife Laurie, while Sandy lives in Alliana, Nebraska, along with her husband Scott.
Tim Walz’s brother Craig unexpectedly passed away in 2016. The University of South Dakota graduate obtained his bachelor’s degree in mathematics and also studied chemistry and physical sciences. He went on to pursue a master’s degree in education from the University of St. Mary’s.
Craig tragically passed away at the age of 43 while camping with his then eight-year-old son Jacob and other family friends at the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Craig was critically injured after a tree fell over during a severe storm.
Craig is survived by his children Jacob and Avery and wife Julie Slominski.
Craig’s obituary published by the Norfolk Daily News read:
“Teaching was Craig’s passion and he cared deeply about his students’ success. He would often arrive early and leave late to tutor students who wanted a little extra help. His classroom was spirited, and he strived to create a compassionate, dynamic and fun learning environment. Taking what he learned growing up, he also worked to instill a sense of civic responsibility among his students.”
Along with Jeff Walz allegedly commenting about his brother Tim’s ideologies on Facebook, it was also discovered that the former allegedly donated to Trump’s presidential campaign in 2016. Journalist Loomer showed FED records as proof. However, the validity of the same has not been confirmed by official sources.
