She opened up about choosing a 16-foot lace veil, and keeping her look “effortless.” Olivia Culpo spoke to Vogue, where she talked about her full-coverage gown, and reflected on her wedding day look as she said:

"I didn't want it to exude s*x in any way, shape or form. I wanted it to feel effortless and as if it was complementing me, not overpowering me. There’s so much beauty and simplicity.”

Olivia Culpo's white wedding Dolce & Gabbana crepe ball gown included a crew neck, with long sleeves, and buttons down the back. She also spoke to the publication about how the gown was designed, stating it was “heavily influenced” by Olivia and Chris’ decision to get married in a church.

Culpo revealed that she had already envisioned long sleeves, but she could not find anything to her liking online, which inspired her to work with Dolce & Gabanna to design her dream dress. Olivia Culpo said:

"It was exactly the same as the original sketch. This is the first, last and only wedding dress I tried on."
