As Luigi Mangione was arrested on December 9, 2024, after allegedly shooting UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson on December 4, 2024, several publications have managed to get hold of his manifesto, in which Luigi wrote his thoughts.

Journalist Ken Klippenstein posted the alleged manifesto on his website, where Mangione talked about not being involved or working with anyone. In the allegedly lengthy note to the feds, Luigi Mangione wrote:

“My tech is pretty locked down because I work in engineering so probably not much info there. I do apologize for any strife of traumas but it had to be done. Frankly, these parasites simply had it coming. A reminder: the US has the #1 most expensive healthcare system in the world, yet we rank roughly #42 in life expectancy.”

Furthermore, Luigi continued by calling UnitedHealthcare the “largest company in the US by market cap,” and stated that it is just behind Apple, Google, and Walmart. He then questioned that the company has grown but not the life expectancy of the citizens of the country, and said:

“No, the reality is, these [indecipherable] have simply gotten too powerful, and they continue to abuse our country for immense profit because the American public has allowed them to get away with it. Obviously, the problem is more complex, but I do not have space, and frankly, I do not pretend to be the most qualified person to lay out the full argument.”

He concluded the alleged manifesto by talking about “corruption and greed,” and claimed that “it is not an issue of awareness at this point,” as Mangione pointed fingers towards the “power games at play.”

For the unversed, Luigi Mangione, 26, from Altoona, has been arrested and charged with the alleged murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. He faces additional charges for possessing a loaded firearm, forged IDs, and a U.S. passport.

Family of the suspect releases statement

After the UnitedHealthcare Group CEO, Brian Thompson was shot and killed on December 4, 2024, the police distributed a picture of the shooter wearing a jacket and a gray backpack.

The police then received an anonymous tip from the McDonald’s in Altoona, which is where they arrested Luigi Mangione.

Altoona Patrolman Tyler Frye spoke at a press conference held on Monday night and revealed:

"My partner and I recognized him immediately. Just from what we saw in the media, with photos, videos, we just didn't even think twice about it, we knew that was our guy."

Apart from the manifesto, the family of the suspect also released a statement after Mangione’s arrest and wrote:

“Our family is shocked and devastated by Luigi’s arrest. We offer prayers to the family of Brian Thompson and we ask people to pray for all involved. We are devastated by this news.”

As per Daily Beast, Luigi Mangione also wrote in his manifesto about more text, including a to-do list. However, at the moment, the authorities have not revealed if they found any such thing in Luigi’s backpack.
