A video of a brawl that took place on a Carnival Cruise ship went viral recently. This news comes after the company garnered backlash for canceling a family’s $15,000 vacation abruptly a month ago. After the clip garnered traction online, the organization released a statement announcing that those involved in the fight were banned from sailing.

TikTok user @rizzarioman123 was one of the many who uploaded the video online on July 3, 2024. It was reported that the incident took place on June 6. One could see chairs being thrown across the Carnival Cruise ship dining room. Several women were seen entangled in the fight and pulling each other’s hair. At one point, a woman even dragged another person across the ground.

Security guards were seen attempting to break apart the brawling women. However, they continued to yell and threaten each other. The man who was recording the video, Nick Richardson, said:

“Welcome to America.”

Richardson also revealed that the fight in the Carnival Cruise dining room unfolded when he made his way to the room to get himself some pizza. The end of the video also showcased numerous broken plates and torn-apart furniture.

Why the women got into the fight remains unknown. However, X user and co-owner of Trending Politics, Collin Rugg, reported that most of the women were from Tampa and had gotten into a physical altercation after getting drunk. Richardson said:

“Those girls were already set on what they were gonna do. It just got out of hand very, very quickly. And that’s how it happens. You’re just drinking too much.”

At the time of writing this article, Rugg’s tweet that included the viral Carnival Cruise video had amassed over three million views. Reacting to the same, tweets read:

“Imagine being stuck in the middle of the ocean with them,” one netizen said.
“Didn’t know Spirit Airlines had a cruiseline too,” another internet user hilariously joked.
“What a nice bunch of classy gals,” another platform user said.

At the time of writing this article, the identity of the women remained unknown. Other reactions read:

“Carnival should have removed them right away. This behavior needs to stop,” a platform user stated.
“It’s always the drink girls from Tampa, isn’t it,” another X user said.
“I could never do a cruise. The idea of being trapped with these people is what nightmares are made of,” a platform user stated.

The fight took place at Carnival Cruise’s Carnival Paradise, which was returning to its Tampa, Florida, home port. Another reaction to the video read:

“The nightmare of having to be stuck with these people on a boat in the middle of the ocean must be horrible. I’d demand a refund,” another netizen said.

Carnival Cruise releases a statement after video goes viral

Carnival Radio covered the incident and stated:

“Our Carnival Values underscore that everyone should feel welcome and included, and that everyone on board demonstrate care and respect towards each other.”

Carnival Cruise also released an official statement announcing that they “will not tolerate such behavior.” They then stated that the guests who were a part of the brawl were fined for their actions and were also banned from the Carnival Cruise Line.

The incident comes after a Kentucky family went viral on TikTok last month after revealing that their $15,000 vacation, which was planned a year in advance, was canceled by the organization two days before setting sail.

They claimed that Carnival was forced to cancel their booking after they accidentally shared their booking number online.
