On November 6, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump won the much-anticipated electoral votes in Pennsylvania for the 2024 election. It had 19 electoral votes, the largest haul for any swing state in the USA.

The billionaire former President took the edge with 50.9 percent votes (3,404,898) against Democratic opponent Kamala Harris’ 48.2 percent (3,224,491), moving closer to the race to the White House.

In the wake of the breaking news, the internet is having diverse reactions. For instance, X user @detearsv took to X and posted:

“They fr made Homelander President.”

Many joined the conversation and shared similar reactions on the platform, expressing their disappointment with Pennsylvania voters.

“MSNBC has called Pennsylvania for Donald Trump. It’s over. Harris has lost the election. I vastly overestimated the good in America,” a netizen wrote.
“CNN call Pennsylvania for Trump. That's game over. And when I say game over, I mean it's game over for all of us,” one netizen wrote.
“A few hours ago, Trump was claiming there was 'massive cheating' in Pennsylvania. Now, there's no mention of it,” wrote another.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump supporters rejoiced in his victory in the “battleground state” of Pennsylvania.

“Oh this is absolutely beautiful. The entire Left are having a collective meltdown” a person wrote.
“Game over for snow flakes and wokeness I would say yes hopefully normality can resume,” one person wrote.
“Welcome back Mr President!” wrote another.
“Thank You PA,” an individual wrote.

Just like Kamala Harris, Trump too focused on Pennsylvania during his presidential campaign. Last month, he served fries to customers during a photo-op at one of the state's drive-in McDonald's outlets. It was also in Butler, Pennsylvania where an attempt on the former President's life was also made during a July rally.

A bullet grazed his ear, injuring multiple people, and killing one rallygoer. He returned to the site with Elon Musk and other high-profile supporters in mid-October.

Donald Trump previously won Pennsylvania in 2016 elections

During the 2016 presidential election, Donald Trump won the Pennsylvania electoral votes and in turn the race to the White House, defeating the-then Democratic candidate and former First Lady, Hillary Clinton.

However, in 2020, when Donald Trump tried to get re-elected for the second term, the swing state voted for Joe Biden, who subsequently became the incumbent President.

Now, following the win in Pennsylvania in the 2024 election, he declared victory in the early hours of Wednesday at the Palm Beach County Convention Center, Florida.

“I want to thank the American people for the extraordinary honor of being elected your 47th president, and your 45th president… America has given us an unprecedented and powerful mandate,” Donald Trump told his supporters.

The MAGA leader took time to praise the world's richest person Elon Musk for endorsing and supporting him in his campaign. Trump announced that he would appoint the SpaceX CEO to lead a government efficiency commission.

He was joined on stage by his wife Melania Trump, his family members, running mate and Senator JD Vance, allies, associates, and topmost campaign workers.

Currently, Donald Trump’s total projected electoral votes stand at 267. He needs three more to become the USA’s next President. Other swing states including Michigan, Wisconsin, Arizona, and Nevada are yet to declare the polls.

However, the 78-year-old is taking the lead in all of them as per current updates. Meanwhile, he has already retained North Carolina while winning Georgia.

The last time a Republican candidate flipped Pennsylvania was George H.W. Bush in 1988.
