Beyoncé’s family, including husband Jay-Z, accompanied her to the premiere of Mufasa: The Lion King. The event, held in Los Angeles on December 9, 2024, also witnessed the presence of the singer-songwriter’s mother Tina Knowles, and daughter Blue Ivy Carter.
The entire family was spotted posing for photographers while walking the red carpet. Notably, the press was unaware of the other three members coming to attend the event, despite the fact that they were confirmed to be a part of it, as stated by The Hollywood Reporter.
The outlet stated that Blue Ivy Carter initially posed for pictures and was later joined by her parents. Beyoncé and Blue opted for similar outfits as they came to the event.
Meanwhile, netizens took to the comments section of a post shared by Pop Base on X to share their reactions to Beyoncé and her family’s appearance at the event. One of them wrote:

A user addressed his opinion based on Blue’s expression as she looked at her mother, alongside others who simply praised the family’s presence at the event.

A day before the family attended the event, Jay-Z was accused of r*ping a girl back in 2000 and his name was added to a lawsuit that was originally filed against Diddy in October this year.
The lawsuit claimed that the alleged victim was 13 years old when the incident happened at a house party, which was reportedly attended by some famous faces from the industry.
On the other hand, Jay-Z denied the accusations in a lengthy statement posted through the official account of his company Roc Nation on X.
Beyoncé shares a social media post praising Blue Ivy Carter
The Houston, Texas native and her daughter Blue Ivy were spotted attending the event in gold outfits.
The former opted for a strapless black gown with metallic gold polka dots and Blue was seen in a fabric ballgown made with a glinting gold sheen, as stated by Harper’s Bazaar magazine.
Furthermore, Beyoncé’s mother arrived in a black top and pants alongside a leather belt, completing the look with an ornate gold buckle. On the other hand, Jay-Z had a simple choice with a dark brown suit and a black tie.
Beyoncé also shared two photos of Blue Ivy Carter through her Instagram page on December 10, 2024, and wrote in the caption:
“My gorgeous baby girl. This is your night. You worked hard and you did such a beautiful job as the voice of Kiara. Your family could not be prouder. Keep shining.”
Blue will be voicing Kiara in Mufasa: The Lion King, the daughter of Simba and Nala. The upcoming musical drama is a follow-up to the 2019 live-action remake of The Lion King and features Beyoncé and Donald Glover returning to give their voices to Nala and Simba. The film is scheduled to arrive on December 20, 2024.
