Terrence K Williams recently commented on former President and Republican nominee Donald Trump's apparent assassination attempt that occurred on September 15, 2024, when he was golfing at his golf course in Florida. This came just two months after his first assassination attempt at a campaign rally in Butler on July 13, which left Trump injured and a bystander dead.
Williams took to social media to call out Democrats for allegedly putting the former president's life in danger. He added that Democrats have wrongfully convicted him, assassinated his character, and given him multiple felony charges.
"PROTECT DONALD TRUMP / EXUSE MY LANGUAGE! / THIS IS F***N CRAZY / The Democrats have put Trumps life in danger by calling him a danger to Democracy!" Williams tweeted.
The post also had a six-minute video of Williams explaining in length why he thought Democrats were behind the alleged attempt on the Republican candidate's life. He added that Democrats have been after the former president since he took his place in the White House in 2016, talking about his impeachments, the January 6 Capitol attacks, and his list of indictments.
"This is no longer Democrat versus Republican. This is good versus evil. Do you hear me? Good versus evil. And these Democrats are f**king evil. I don't give a s**t if you don't like my language."
He also spoke about how the progression of these events is "absolutely insane," saying Donald Trump is someone who needs to be protected.
"We gotta protect Donald Trump at all costs. And we need to find out more about what happened on July 13 as well. Come on, people," he concluded in his video.
Ryan Wesley Routh was apprehended for Donald Trump's attempted assassination
Donald Trump had been golfing at his golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida when the apparent assassination attempt occurred. A Secret Service agent spotted the muzzle of an AK-47-style rifle sticking out of the bushes 300-500 yards away from where he had been golfing.
Secret Service agents opened fire at the gunman, who dropped his weapon and fled the scene in a black Nissan. An eyewitness snapped a photo of the fleeing car, which law enforcement used to apprehend the suspect 61 km from the golf course. Following the incident, the Secret Service released a statement that read:
"Former President Donald Trump is safe and unharmed following a possible attempted assassination shortly before 2 p.m. Sunday at Trump International Golf Club at West Palm Beach. US Secret Service personnel opened fire on a gunman located near the property line."
The suspect was named Ryan Wesley Routh. In an interview with CNN that evening, David Aronberg, State Attorney for Palm Beach County, said the suspect didn't divulge any information.
"He knew enough to stay silent. He did not apparently speak to officers, he was calm. So, it looked like a person who has done this before, not necessarily this crime, but someone who has had repeated interactions with law enforcement," he said.
The former president was unharmed during the altercation. He reassured his supporters that he was "safe and well" with an official statement.
President Joe Biden and VP Kamala Harris also released statements regarding the attempt, condemning political violence. JD Vance, the Republican VP pick, also spoke on the issue, adding that his running mate was in good spirits despite the turn of events.
In other news, Kamala Harris and Donald Trump had their first presidential debate on September 10. The 90-minute debate, telecast on ABC News, saw the two candidates discuss immigration, abortion rights, and gun control, among other things.
