Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss’ cousin, Elle Noir, has addressed the backlash after she criticized his wife, Allison Holker, for her exclusive People Magazine interview published on January 7, 2025. In the interview, Holker claimed that she found a "cornucopia" of drugs hidden inside her late husband's shoeboxes after his death.
For the unversed, Boss, who was the co-executive producer on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, died by suicide in 2022. Following Holker's interview, Elle Noir called out Holker on social media for attempting to "tarnish his legacy." She also alleged that Holker made the late dancer's family, including his mother, sign NDAs to attend his funeral.
Noir's initial tweet, posted under the handle @wthDARIELLE, garnered mixed responses from netizens. Many accused her and tWitch's family of attacking Allison Holker for clout. In a series of tweets uploaded on January 7, Noir clarified that her posts "ain't about money."
"And I wanna make things CLEAR: This ain’t about money. It’s never been about money. That side of my family was self made long before Stephen even made it in the dance world. My uncle/ his papa worked hard af to make sure they had a good life."
Elle Noir said tWitch's family was as "hurting and confused" as Allison Holker
In her follow-up tweet, Elle Noir, a dance instructor and performer according to her Instagram page, claimed that tWitch's family had no clout or inheritance to gain by attacking Allison Holker for her article. She also said "not one person" asked about the money, adding that tWitch's family was filled with hard-working people.
In another tweet, she wrote that tWitch "being rich and famous" did not matter to his family, as they only saw him as Stephen. Noir also said it was "insulting" that people accused his family of speaking out for a payout, adding that they were as hurt and confused as Allison Holker.
"It’s insulting that you think we’d want a payout when we are hurting and confused just as much as his wife. You would think this would be a time to come together as a family but instead, you exploit your husband after moving on w/ another man? I’m not even mad she’s dating again," Noir wrote on X.
Elle Noir also alleged that the family has been trying to shed light on Allison Holker's alleged NDAs for over a year, but no one has paid any heed to them until now.
What did Allison Holker say in her interview?
In an exclusive interview with People Magazine, Allison Holker opened up about her husband Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss's death. Holker claimed that she found drugs in tWitch's belongings after his death.
"It was a really triggering moment for me because there were a lot of things I discovered in our closet that I did not know existed. It was very alarming to me to learn that there was so much happening that I had no clue [about]. It was a really scary moment in my life to figure that out, but it also helped me process that he was going through so much and he was hiding so much, and there must have been a lot of shame in that," she said.
Allison Holker was there to promote her upcoming memoir This Far, scheduled for release on February 4. She also alleged that tWitch was a marijuana user, adding the dancer would either drink or smoke to unwind at night after putting their three children to bed. She said she was aware of his smoking, claiming it was okay as it was his "time to recharge."
However, Allison Holker claimed her husband had been battling with himself in silence and was allegedly trying to self-medicate to "cope with all those feelings." She also said that reading tWitch's journals gave her new insight into his thoughts.
"It did have me feel a lot of empathy towards him and sadness for all the pain that he was holding."
According to Forbes, tWitch's death was ruled as a suicide, with autopsy reports indicating that he died from a gunshot wound to his head. His teenage daughter, Weslie, was reportedly the last to see him when he dropped her off at school.
