American singer and songwriter George Strait is currently trending for doing the famous and viral Trump dance on stage. The country music icon performed the Trump dance on December 8 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, at the end of his concert. A fan captured the entire dance on video during that time.

This happened after the president-elect's popularization of the dance moves. At his Georgia rally during the presidential campaign event in November, the former US President ended his speeches with a dance performance. He danced to the YMCA by the Village People while putting his fists in the air. The dance also included hip rotation, feet planted on the floor, and pumping arms.

Now, once the video went viral, it slowly took over the internet. Meanwhile, following George Strait’s Trump dance on the same song, netizens took to X user @GuntherEagleman’s post to react to the same thing. One even claimed that it was as big as Michael Jackson’s “moonwalk.”

“My favorite in country… This is becoming as big as the moonwalk,” wrote one user.

Others also praised him for the same. Some even tagged him as a “legend” and said that they loved him.

“Finishing touch tells everything, love George Strait,” said one user.
“That's great to see! Legend!” wrote another user.
“George Strait is a living legend!!” echoed the same.

On the other hand, many commented on the dance itself. One said that everyone’s been dancing, another one said that it is a new “trend”.

“I’ve seen videos of kids doing the same thing. The young, the old, and nearly every American is doing the Trump dance,” noted one netizen.
“It's the new trend swiffering the nation,” one user wrote.
“Everyone’s doing the #TrumpDance!” echoed another one.

The dance moves, which were made popular by Trump, quickly went viral on TikTok and other social media platforms. Recently, singer George Strait even did the same at the end of one of his shows in Las Vegas.

Before exiting the stage, Strait thanked the audience and seemed to perform a small shimmy that many people thought was the singer hitting the famous dance moves. The video was then uploaded by the official Trump campaign account, which stated:

"The King of Country himself @GeorgeStrait brought out the Trump Dance last night in Vegas..."

Additionally, following its gradual popularity, an X video uploaded by @LangmanVince on November 18 showed a Chinese groom arriving at the ceremony and dancing to the song YMCA.

Furthermore, it had also entered the football field. The San Francisco 49ers defensive players celebrated Nick Bosa's sack of Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield on Sunday, November 17 with the same. During the celebration, YMCA played while the dance moves popularized at the president elect's rallies was performed by the team.

Moreover, in the closing seconds of a decisive victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars, many Detroit Lions defensemen, led by Za'Darius Smith, performed the dance to commemorate a significant play. Smith even imitated the President-elect's recent addition, a small golf swing.

Apart from these, at UFC 309, on Saturday, December 7, cage fighter Jon Jones after defeating Stipe Miocic, celebrated his victory with a dance that resembled those performed by the former US President. He did it in front of a live audience that included the current President-elect, Elon Musk, Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, new Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and numerous other MAGA heavyweights.

On Sunday, December 8, the former US President, posted a video of Jones' tribute on his Truth Social account. The dance moves suddenly went viral one week after Nick Bosa, a defensive player for the San Francisco 49ers, was fined over €10,000 for allegedly breaking league uniform regulations by wearing a "Make America Great Again" cap during a post-game interview.

Meanwhile, Trump didn't say anything about his moves going viral.
