Recently many people expressed disbelief over the launch of a special Hawk Tuah Spirit Halloween costume, based on the viral Hawk Tuah meme. The costume is reportedly inspired by the Hawk Tuah girl aka Haliey Welch, who gained much fame after her street interview on the YouTube channel Tim & Dee TV went viral.
An X user shared a photo of the costume that was displayed at a store. This post garnered 8.2 million views and over 58,000 likes at the time of writing this article. Once this X post went viral, netizens expressed their disbelief over the whole thing going “way too far”.
An X user questioned why the Hawk Tuah meme was still relevant and wrote:
“Okay how did it even get this big like this is literally going way too far now it's just so irrelevant."
Other people also expressed similar opinions and described the meme as overhyped.
“Y’all really be making anyone famous…," claimed one netizen.
“Wasn't funny the first time. How did this become big," asked another netizen in disbelief.
"This trend is worse than when Minions were everywhere and that's saying something," another person chimed in.
Some even showed concern for Haliey and wondered if she was getting paid for this.
“So artificially pushed I even feel bad for the woman is she asking for all of this," said one X user.
“Is Hawk Tuah girl getting paid for this? If so good for her I guess. Not good for anyone spending money on this though, just her for cashing in," another person commented.
What is the Pink Hawk Tuah Jumpsuit Costume?
The jumpsuit is launched by Spirit Halloween, a US-based company that supplies Halloween decorations, costumes, props, and accessories.
The pink jumpsuit, made of polyester, is priced at $49.99. The official description of the outfit on the Spirit Halloween website reads:
“You'll look ready to spit on that thang this Halloween when you rock this officially licensed Hawk Tuah Jumpsuit Costume. This hilarious pink mechanic jumpsuit outfit features the "Hawk Tuah" branding so everyone will know that when you go to the lubrication experts at Hawk Tuh Express everything is all-natural.”
The pink jumpsuit is available in three sizes: Adult small, Adult medium, and Adult large. Needless to say, this costume is not for kids. One can either order it directly to an address or schedule a store pick-up.
The special outfit comes almost two months after Haliey became famous in July. Since then, she has capitalized on her virality and established herself as a public figure.
The 21-year-old signed with The Penthouse, a talent management company. The Tennessee native has so far been offered to star in Hollywood movies, has thrown the first ball for the New York Mets, and has collaborated on official merchandise.
Earlier this month, Welch started her podcast, Talk Tuah, under the Betr media company co-founded by Jake Paul.
In its debut episode, which aired on September 10, Welch discussed her ascent to fame. She said that initially, she had major remorse when her NSFW interview went viral. She further said in the podcast that she and her friend Chelsea spent the first two weeks in hiding as the interview clip raked in millions of views.
