Treeline Music Festival 2023 announces new lineup: MUNA, Sierra Ferrell, Noah Cyrus among others

The Treeline Music Festival is back for another year, with its 2023 edition scheduled to be held at the Stephens Lake Park in Columbia, Missouri from September 29, 2023 to October 1, 2023. This year's iteration will be the first under its new persona, with it previously known as the Roots N Blues Festival and Roots N Blues N BBQS Festival, respectively.

The organizers announced that this year's event will feature performances by artists such as Japanese Breaktfast, Ethel Cain, Noah Cyrus and more, via a post on the festival's official Instagram page.

Tickets for the tour are currently available from https://treelinemusicfest.frontgatetickets.com/. General tickets are priced at $141.3, plus processing fees, while VIP tickets will come in at $364.13, plus processing fees.


MUNA, Japanese Breakfast to headline Treeline Music Festival 2023

Headlining the festival will be the indie-pop band MUNA, who are best known for their epynomously titled third studio album, Muna. It was released on June 24, 2022 and peaked at number 10 on the Scottish album chart.

Also headlining the festival will be the alternative-pop band Japanese Breakfast, who rose to prominence with their third studio album, Jubilee, which was released on June 4, 2021. The album peaked at number 11 on the Scottish album chart.

Alonside MUNA and Japanese Breakfast on the headliner lineup will be blues singer-songwriter and guitarist Robert Cray, who is best known for his fifth studio album, Strong Persuader, which was released on 17, 1986. The album peaked at number 13 on the Billboard 200 album chart.

Treeline Festival will announce more performers in the coming days. Aside from the music, it will also have food and beverage vendors, craft vendors, a Ferris wheel, and art installations.

The event will also continue the legacy of the Roots N Blues marathon with the Betsy Farris Memorial Run, which will held on September 30, 2023, and start at the Academy Sports on 2651 Trimble Road. The race has the half marathon, 10k, and 5k categories, which will begin at 7am and 7.30 am, respectively.

The Treeline Festival first began as the Roots N Blues N BBQ Festival in 2007 and was a free event in celebration of the 150-year anniversary of the Boone County National Bank.

It then expanded under the auspices of the newly established Thumper Entertainment, and moved to its current location at Stephen Lake Park in 2013. From 2014 onwards, the festival adopted a sustainibility program, with specific guidelines for vendors as to the recycling and reusage of waste material.
