Social media influencer David Allen recently took to social media platforms to share a tribute to his daughter Lily Grace Allen, who died from unknown causes on July 27, 2024. Lily died five weeks after she was born and David posted a video through his official pages on Instagram and TikTok on August 4 to express his grief.
The caption stated:
"Lily Grace Allen 6/21/24 - 7/27/24."
Allen began by saying that he met many people over the years such as celebrities in his interviews and continued:
"But the coolest thing I ever was welcome my baby, Lily, into this world with my wife, Jessica. She was five weeks old about a week ago when she passed away at midnight."
David Allen added that he has been crying ever since he lost his daughter and does not wish the same for anyone else. He mentioned that he could not talk about the incident for almost a week and had no perfect words to describe the loss.
He ended by saying:
"Just go hug your little one, squeeze them tight for me."
Lily Grace's memorial is scheduled to be held at the Bluebonnet Hills Memorial on August 6, 2024. Allen confirmed the same by saying:
"If you want to send something to me or my wife or my family, I have an address on my page."
The comments section of the post was flooded with tributes where netizens recalled their experience and sent their best wishes and prayers to Allen's family.
Meanwhile, only selected people have been invited to the memorial. Allen stated that anyone willing to help his family can send donations to the Children's Medical Center Dallas.
David Allen's drone dancing video made him a popular face among the public
Back in 2021, the 35-year-old came into the spotlight with his drone dancing video on TikTok. It featured him dancing to the pop music playing in the background and a drone could be spotted moving around him. The clip helped him to accumulate more followers on his page.
David Allen continued to create the same video in different situations and collaborated with personalities such as Bella Poarch for the same. The clip was even mimicked by Dr. Phil McGraw on TikTok.
Apart from TikTok, David Allen launched a photography business under his name and completed his graduation at the University of Texas in 2017.
He began sharing videos through TikTok in 2020 and in an interview with Tyler Morning Telegraph the following year, he addressed his intention behind making TikTok videos.
"When I film TikToks, people, a lot of times they look and laugh because I'm some guy on Venice Beach with jeans and boots and a button-up shirt, dancing his (behind) in the sand. It'd be pretty easy to be embarrassed, but I guess it just comes with age but I don't care."
He spoke up on the success of the drone dancing video, saying that when his clips become successful, he does not intend to get in touch with anyone who would help him with collaborations. However, he stated that there are people who have reached out to him for collaborations, and is prepared to do the same.
David Allen is active on Instagram with around one million followers and he frequently posts videos and pictures posing with different people, including his wife, Jessica Bird.
